I think you mean 'misanthrope', which describes me when I am having a really bad day!

As I understood it, the term 'misandry' has been around since at least the late 1700's in written form (in several languages) and literally means 'man-hating' (from the Greek 'misos' = 'hatred' and 'andros' = 'man').
Life is just a series of obstacles preventing you from taking a nap.

It seems to depend on the dictionary one consults, as to if it's man, mankind or humanity.

Yep, it’s kind of the same with misogyny in some circles, ie. whether it refers to the individual or collective. The trap is that in recent times everything can be construed as an .()ist or an .()ism - where you insert whatever slur you like in the brackets. Unfortunately that waters down the original meanings to make things in effect meaningless and gets used as a way to stifle debate, which slows humanity’s ability to progress. Silly buggers!

Certainly throughout the history of Modern English, and probably at least Middle English as well (but my reading there is not extensive), "man" has been used quite widely as a synonym for "mankind", that is to refer to the collective of all homo sapiens, regardless of gender. This is in accordance with the patriarchal structure of English and its antecedents to use the masculine as the wider term where the gender is unknown or where both genders are included.

It is only in the last century or or so that anyone has worried about distinguish "all men (male homo sapiens)" from "all men (homo sapiens, all genders)", since almost all people writing for publication or speaking publicly were in fact male, and on the rare occasions they thought that the distinction mattered were quite happy to add a few words such as "both men and women" of "men as opposed to women".

Yesterday I paid the most I ever have for a hotdog, $7-50, granted it did have cheese and chives on it but still, unfortunately I was in a rush and just took it, when I ate it I also found it must have been in the hot display box awhile, as it was half baked onto the tray and the tomato source was congealed, grrrrr.

A bit busy at the moment so asked for a deferral of our Practice Accreditation. I had also asked to do that several months ago but was talked back into a September visit as Covid was under control 😊 Covid crazy now is a tad of an understatement. Not allowed to have Practice meetings due to Lock down is just one little impediment. The Visit scheduled next week is not allowed in the building being a minor example of the issues.

Honestly I had asked to withdraw from Accreditation and the ever encouraging QPA staff talked me in to trying a deferral request again.

The call today laid out the options/rulz and more. A bit shell shocked with SIP/PIP, Cold chain, standards and much more laid out as the essential bits over mental health, Vaccinations, Medical services and reasonable …..

We could happily agree cold chain and standards are important. I couldn’t help myself and suggested rule by media and recommendation to “call your Doctor” before we get the vaccines or information formally by multiple unprofessional self-promoting people over the last year or more is not to Standard.

The PIP (practice Incentive payment) comment had me thinking about ePIP. All the work we did and still do that was later linking to uploading MyHealth Records. We do not get $0.002cents ePIP for the tens of thousands online services I do which save the governement and patients thousand of $ and hours.
I appreciate a lot of practice make a lot of money from PIP. It was and is not my focus. Using Accreditation to validation of PIP did not convince me. I am happy with my 12year old landrover V a near by very PIP focused place driving a nice shine 2021 model RR

Advise ‘Deferment’ if wanted would require the appropriate Documents/forms completed for them to consider. My request for ‘Deferment’ was not on the official form so cannot be considered.

Apparently, the reasons for the ‘Deferment’ on my request are different if put on an official document.

Cold play song “Twisted Logic” Should it have been “Politik” ringing in my head? I said the person clearly had a very difficult job, thank you and good bye.

Happy to say my options are not always what I am told they are. I clearly exasperated the poor sod who called me for not seeing it as they state it is.

Anais Nin quote is needed "We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are."

Really, you should have shot it straight back to them & told them to shove it & got a refund or a replacement.
