I'm grumpy with the ABC for 2 reasons, firstly they've changed their morning news logo to orange/yellow and blue so it looks like I'm watching Ch 7, secondly they seem to be having a lot of transmission trouble in my area of Brisbane, complete with bad picture break up,and sometimes no signal at all.

Has something happened to your antenna? When I get that I have to go up and twist the post back to pointing where it is meant to!

I've done a week in Emerald two years ago so I'm no stranger to travel for a fridgie job.

I think between Paul, Des and myself we should be able to get Paul sorted.

I don't think so, as it is intermittent and has happened before, invariably comes good with no intervention from myself, although I have noticed the Ch 10 programme guide seemed to have disappeared as well.

    I'm in the poop.

the tv antenna has been having a few probs recently with some elements corroding and bending under weight of birds. I had got up once and panduit strapped them back up.

I suggested to swmbo that a new antenna wouldn't go astray.

she doesn't like spending money except on holidays and suggested that we don't need one because I watch anything through foxtel and she watches through telstra tv.(separate tv's)

two elements were now hanging off so I got up on the roof with a pair of sidecutters and removed the offending articles....this involved disconnecting the wires from the booster box...all good seeing we weren't going to need the antenna.

an hour later swmbo called me saying she couldn't get a tv channel and had I done anything to the antenna.

I just sighed and walked away quietly.

Why is it that there is no 'D' in refrigerator but there is in 'Fridgie'?
Must be so that they're not referred to as 'Frigies' or 'Frigers'.

Ah, the Age Old mystical question of our Brotherhood (yes we even have a funny handsign or Central Digit Vertical Poke. Or CDVP)

If we faithful ones knew the answer to that question we wouldn't be Fridgies at all, just Philosophers or teeth suckers.

Our elements are being reduced by the score. Doves land (?) on them & you can see them bend. You wouldn't think the weight of two Doves could do that, but they can it seems.

Have only 4 elements left now plus the centre support. Previously I did try to use a piece of Fibre Glass insulating rod, cable tied against the element but when we got Foxtel we didn't really need that Ant as FTA chanels seem to be on their platform. Plus we are only 1-2 km away line of sight from the Towers.
