Trouble is they still use the side of your car as a door opening guide. I think the newer/non-Land Rover cars are a lot softer, as a mate bought a new Holden ute, and he said it has a lot of dings in it already. It is so bad that now he only parks on the flat sections of car parks, not on slants anymore, as he reckons that is when car doors are more likely to hit his vehicle.

Know what you mean. Why the **** do developers plan a car park sited on a 30* side slope? Irriuts!

There is a notorious one in the locality that is still like this years on & guess what? We do not shop there.

It isn't just the parking it is also about ****wits that lose control of their trollies & just let them go downhill into god knows what/where.

As opposed to those having half a dozen goes to nose in?

I always reverse park, comes from driving a 130, aka The Queen Mary. 130's have the agility of an iceberg.
The work ute isn't much better....

Reversing to park is so much easier on almost everything, and as Larry said, we go straight out.....

News reports when they use "Dozens" as a measure of human fatalities or injuries.

I reckon I qualify here but I'll also claim provocation.

Yesterday - a two kilometre stretch of very easy access trout stream with only a couple of gnarly access points and not one other person on this stretch of water, I'm having an angle and along comes a tourist who scrambles down one gnarly bit to me and puts her dog in the water for a swim right beside me.

Then today there were the two big kids who came along and proceeded to throw rocks into the little back wash pool I was fishing.

And then the little kids of about five years of age let loose to ride their push bikes on 60 kmh roads without any supervision. Roads which are used by many trucks.

Yep – it's tourist season again and time for locals to hibernate and leave them to their stupidity......mumble..grumble.

News articles where they've done a Imperial/Metric conversion to two decimal places on stories from the USA where none are required, e.g., distances or volume. Do I care if 10 miles is converted to 16 or 16.09 km or even rounded down to 15km?
