Truckies of my generation called caravanners "terrorists" as a play on "tourists". We used to reckon first frosts in Vic. & S.A. used to bring them out of their summer dens and head north to the warmth of Queensland clogging the highways in the process. Dead right about them speeding up in overtaking zones then back to 80-85 k's where it was impossible to overtake them.

Actually, I was pretty sure all of these would be traffic issues, which reminds me........people turning left into a street when there is a bus lane, but believe they cannot use the bus lane and sit in number 2 lane to wait for the green arrow. Them and the guys who believe the roundabout rule is to give way to your right or the fastest car gets right of way.

The speed limit is a maximum, it's not compulsory. The 'bickie dippers' are just being responsible motorists, minimising their emissions and driving safely. Grumpy old buggers thread
Also, my box doesn't wobble. Grumpy old buggers thread

When I go down the Pacific Highway, the trucks are madly trying to pass each other, not the 'bickie dippers'. It's like Roller Derby. Grumpy old buggers thread
Will be great when Ballina to Grafton is finished and the motorway puts an end to this argy bargy.
Meanwhile I let them past and then tuck in behind, so they get the speeding tickets, not me.

Because the Retired dont have any deadlines - they arent making a living on the road... just trying to wake up each morning breathing.

If you think about it those "retired" people that are "just trying to wake up in the morning" are the ones that have paid the lions share (via taxes) of the money to build the roads that the truckies are making a living off

It might Mick if seen from a following Truck Windscreen?
