Probably not when it comes to the big $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$
Speaking of $$$$$ I wonder how much Captain Tommy will actually get in his hand after all the "Fees" are deducted & pledges are kept?.
Last count I heard he was up for 22 Million Quid but at the end of the day he may actually get SFA but I do realise he didn't do it for his own gain but then old chap must be a lot fitter for it. I don't thinks I'd like to push a Zimmer around my garden 100 times not unless they make an Off-Road version.
Seen it happen before where people were collecting cash in the green bins so was open slather for any "collector"/crook to dip their hands into an Aladdins Cave.
From that lot collected for Bushfire Victims recently I understand many are still living in tents, so one ponders where all that promised money went.
Are we being told the truth about allocations? Are poor buggers still living rough? Hhmm wossat smell I keep getting in my nose? Fish in Denmark? (Hamlet)
I thought there were lots of people driving around tripping the traffic lights to change along the main roads, but have since heard the Brisvegas City Council has changed them to timer only, so pedestrians don't have to touch the buttons, so it is getting rather annoying stopping for lights when no car or person is around.

It's annoying driving in Brisbane at anytime, even Sunday is like peak hour.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
It could be worse, there may be cyclists around & that could take all flamin' day.Timers can be a right pain up the jacksy
As a newcomer to an intersection you never know if it is on timer or the bloody system is broke. One waits & waits & waits & just when you decide to commit Hari Kari & step off the pavement & take your chances, the bloody things change. (yeah I know it is illegal to so do) Why not leave Ped Lights on the Press button count method?
We are in the traffic all day,a time wasting PITA,but it has to be done for work.
Been fantastic the last few weeks, like it was 40yrs ago.
But i noticed the last two days last week,it seems to be increasing
The QLD police were on the news saying they have been catching heaps of people speeding. Many at speeds like 150km/hr in 100 zone.
For some reason they think if there is no traffic around they can speed.
There are 4 trailer mounted cameras between Brisbane and GC on the M1,at the moment
Why is Brisbane have the knickname Brisvegas? I suppose it needs something to boost Brisbane's attractiveness but really - the Gold Coast, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Hobart, Adelaide, Perth and I think Darwin all have casinos too.
So do we add "vegas" to all these city names as well - I like the sound of CanVegasBerra.

FWIW, I have always thought it was a pretty crass name to give Brisbane & certainly not one the Founding Fathers would have chosen. I suppose they could have called it "Las Vegas Down Under" but back then, if they were crass enough, there wasn't a 'Down Under' was there?
Nah, a crap name to give a nice sub-tropical City. Brisbane is just fine.
