Try parking one at Westfields Paul.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

The things are huge! Park beside one then try to open your door, they hang a foot over the sides of the parking bay.
Passing one on a narrow road, one of you is in the dirt.
Try to look around one to overtake - best of luck with that!
When they park in a center bay they stick out either end.
I had a bit of a look at one, the doors are 3 foot thick, they bulge out everywhere & every thing inside is oversize. Just about need a 2 way to talk to your passenger they are that far away from you.
    Silly bloody car.

Have a similar problem here in the UK with the Range Rover. Car parks are often too narrow and I fill them wheels to wheels on the white painted lines. Front and back of car hanging out of the allocated space. Then have to also look to see if there is enough room to swing the car so can get in and out of the car park

But then this is a country where the measurements used for a garage are still based on the Austin Seven and being able to open the doors once in the garage. Then they wonder why no one parks their car in the garage?? !!

So what you are really sayng 3T, Council Planners haven't caught up with later Building Regs or those places wouldn't have been allowed to be built?

In public Car Parks it is also the really stupid & inconsiderate bastard driver who park so far into the white lines that the car to the left cannot open their Driver's door? They make sure they have the space to exit the car & **** anybody else.

When I see that, I park the other way around. But in the middle of my spot. I've had the complaint "You didn't leave me any room to get into my car" I simply say "I left you more room than you left me." and walk off. The only down side is, I don't get to see what happens next.
    Cheers, Billy.
    Keeping it simple is complicated.

How many times has your car been keyed?

Where possible I usually park top and tail so the passenger doors are closer and there is more room on the drivers side for both of us

Parking spaces are often too narrow, particularly for larger vehicles. Park 2 x 4WDs side by side and it gets very tight.
Our Defender's sidesteps have scratches where people have banged them with their doors. The sidesteps saved our doors.
I have taken to backing into spaces in underground parking stations, just to make it easier to get out again.

So it is you "Arse AboutParkers" that hold up the flow of traffic looking for other freed spots?.

Some drivers can't reverse park for toffee outdoors, let alone in a lined car Park. By the time they fiddle & faff around & eventually get in (at an angle because they have become frustrated at their lack of driving ability & near enough is good enough) the shopping day is just about over. How they would fare with a Trailer behind, anywhere else is also questionable.
