I met a Girl from Estonia once & she was defintley on the ball,in of all places, PNG central Highlands.


That is a story for another day around a Campfire after a couple of Ports. Not very likely though.

Heck Des Campfire in a couple of Ports could be fun mate.

My favorites are Sydney harbour, Vancover Island, Pearl Harbour, Subic Bay, Singapore harbour. Have to add we might get in trouble starting a camp fire in a few of them mate I did see a few stoves cooking in Manila and Thailand so they might be cool with it.

Estonian PNG girls do need some teasing out for that yarn Sir

Re your post re being a Luddite, I can recall when a little kid watched over his Father's shoulder when he was filling out the ATO Return. He couldn't understand the word "Afforestation or Re - afforestation" not sure which was asked for).



My olde Dad never did explain it to me, being far too busy trying to juggle figures was bad enough but I had no need to know until I was into my late teens & now I do but because I didn't have any logging Forest interests then (or now) it didn't really matter anyway. A wasted childhood me.

Great place , you could take a bus from Pieter to Narva in a few hours,russian border post like an old unpainted barn, go into estonia border building whuch was super modern and woud blow your mind with contrast, narva area was mainly russian speaking but english is fairly common anywhere in Estonia. With older people
The common language was russian as either russian imports or old soviet educated, young people if you spoke to them in Russian usually would revert to english..or ask where you were from then try english..as russia not so important to them as such as more orientated to the west, estonian quite a complex language... the guy we used to rent off in Tallinn showed us how clever their ID card was and how it saved trouble for all sorts of things..i could live there happily,great place and much more vibrant than Finland in my opinion.

Tsk, Tsk Ian. You would use a penguin, with a rubber band around its neck! For larger fish, perhaps a leopard seal, although the idea of putting a band around its throat doesn't appeal to me.
