Roadside rubbish appears to be increasing. "Ok son we'll take your old ****e into the hills, it is sparsely populated & it is only "scrub". sort of thing. "What we'll do. Ill pull up you & your brother jump out quick & empty the trailer,OK?"

Unfortunately, it does seem to be Suburbs are encroaching on the Hills with their manicured lawns etc & grabbing land that is still council's.

I involved them with the bloke over the road encroaching/planting stuff on council land. What did they do? Sent a bloke out to paint new white Road lines.

Doesn't matter that his growing Hedge was restricting visibility at a T Junction , (my main complaint )

It does have a GIVE WAY sign but first you have to see oncoming traffic.

I suppose they didn't want to upset the resident or it was a Mate. ******!

Don't complain to the council. Complain to whoever is in charge of roads in your State
    Cheers, Billy.
    Keeping it simple is complicated.

Less conspicuous than the thin axe way.

Thin axe blade. A series of 45* chops around the trunk. While axe head remains in cut still @ 45*, dribble some WWK down the blade. Job done, apparently.

Never tried it but I can see how it works. Certainly noisier that the plastic bottle.

A small self- sown Cypress (A bunch of these were growing about 1/2 a mile away to the South so I found later, & can only assume it was a wind blown seed) was growing here well away from the house & next doors Was about 8" high at that time but 30 years on it is massive & you stand there & watch it & I'm sure you can see it growing.

The Giant Redwood in the USA has nothing on this bastard thing.

The olde story I'm afraid. One comes from the 'burbs & you don't really take a lot of notice of these things until it is to late. Now it would be a 50 megaton job to get rid.

    Tax- Ask me again please

Just finished mine. My Grump is my other half had to have my income on it and I have to have hers on mine!

For **** sake do they really need the same numbers twice!

A law in one cool country makes it illegal for the government there to ask you for information they all ready have. I seem to give the same information again and again to different government departments.

The ATO takes the cake today. Asking for the information from another persons tax return to be put on my tax return is the winner of bureaucratic over the top oversight. Might start going Luddite and do it on paper next year. The electronic ****e fight forces you to not miss any of the important and the rubbish they ask for.

    It is Estonia

"Named ‘the most advanced digital society in the world’ by Wired, Estonia has built an efficient, secure and transparent ecosystem where 99% of governmental services are online. It is no surprise then that Estonians have designed numerous digital solutions to help tackle the COVID-19 pandemic crisis.e-Estonia Briefing Centre is here to guide you through all the stages of digitalisation and offer services that can be tailored to your needs, both in-person and online."

e-Estonia — We have built a digital society and we can show you how

"Estonia saves two percent of GDP by signing things digitally" and that's just one bit our disjointed Government IT has slowly moved with. MYGOVID is a starting point yet a very slow disjointed starting point

How do Estonians save annually 820 years of work without much effort? How do Estonians save annually 820 years of work without much effort? — e-Estonia

I have to b careful for course. 15ish years ago I bailed up PM Mr J Howard about the hundreds of million we could save if I could gap bill not seeing millions of people going to the Medicare office to get a Medicare refund. The point I made is millions of $$$$$$$ not claimed and refunded and stays with the Government.

If I ever get to chat with Mr Howard again I will congratulate him for the incredible devious move. I proposed take the gap only and use the existing free processes to get the medicare rebate for the Doctor. Free!
We got- you still pay the entire amount and your Doctors pay bank fees to get your refund in your bank ( Not to your Credit card which is also a PITA) instantly or we send the claim to the medicare office for you or some give you a receipt for you to send to the medicare office. The Government still gets millions of $$$$$$$ not claimed and refunded
We all got shafted by them saving hundreds of millions by not allowing me to gap bill and allowing Doctors now pay the banks fees for the refunds mostly.

Point from above is, perhaps I should also move to Estonia as I suspect I will get screwed again ????

Crap ain't it? Seems a lot of businesses don't even have a Data Base they can refer to even A*L. either that or they are too ****ing lazy to hit a couple of keys, et Voilà.
Some say, "we are not allowed to keep private stuff on our system" Dunno if that is a load of ballcocks or what but it can certainly be bloody annoying.
