quote..Was clearing a bit of Blackberry on Thurs.

    do you mean temporarily clearing?

I have a mate there in the hills who has been diligently clearing blackberry for years. he is on several hectares and he clears but his neighbours don't.

I wonder how professional growers of the fruit control their "orchards".....it's probably their fault for the continuous invasion of this pest due to birds.

My mate there is volunteer fireman and he says even after a ferocious bushfire the blackberries just strike up again.

It makes me wonder whether said pic was held back until after the "Go Live" date, but if he can prove the date he may be in with a chance, as Chook says.

Can you trust any Govt. Revenue Cameras? Yeah right.

It is called a "Voluntary" tax some times as well DesI hate paying to much tax that much I seldom if ever speed. Ok some times I admit my push bike might be going a bit fast down some of the hills about here The surprised looks on the cars I over take suggests I am doing something odd or is it just the skin tight clothing

Clearing. Each stem of a BB I cut off gets the quick Glyphosate drink in the stem. Seems to have worked over the years but by god you need to keep your eyes on them still.

My Kelpie neighbour prefers to dig the root system right out as he doesn't trust the buggers at all.

Last year I started using Axeman 600 (Active ingredient is Tryclopr) with a Penetrant & so far that is looking really promising & as you probably know it is the followup that is important. I used this to control the house gardens which for years was covered in English Ivy which we inherited That works ok as well on the Ivy. Now what to do with all the dead Ivy crap???? Yes I agree, it seems to be transmitted by Birds as It can appear out of a weed free paddock.

We still have a chuckle when we recall the estate agent at the time saying "The place has a bit of blackberry on it". A bit???? At one stage I was trying to find out what bits & pieces I could use that were used in the Hiroshima A Bomb.

I think I succeeded in that but still couldn't get my hands on a War Surplus B29 Super fort..

Unfortunately never made it there,so didnt meet him.

Spent 30 yrs contracting in those places of paradise though and met quite a few over the years, some quite high profile.More recently one with the surname Abbot comes to mind.

One kind voluntary tax type I know gets one per week. He pays a lot more via his company as he doesn't relocate the company car speeding and parking fines to himself. I did ponder Fringe Benefits tax implications with him once- Yes That was Very cruel

The fines are huge, and they come out of profit.

    Oh well,whatever rocks his boat.

Our staff often nominate their wives as the driver, but that can only go on for so long, takes 3 yrs to get them back.

In the good old days, when we had 9 points, and 4 as a P,one could clock up all the points on a P,but by the time the paperwork was done and the letter arrived, you were on an open.
Or if you did lose it,just slip over the border and get a license in that state, all was good as the states licensing departments were all different, and didnt communicate between each other.
