I have a few reasons for having multiple channels. I used one simply to send videos to a certain someone in Qld. Redundant now. I set up another to document the travels I was planning, mostly for my family. On hold while other things run their course.
The main one, though, was to have channels that catered to my interests. I set up one particularly foe electronics repair, and I have a handful of "creators" I like to watch. I tried to curate this channel to have pretty much only them, with other related in my feed. This worked, briefly. However I discovered that curating the algorithm is like herding cats. Clicking on the options like "not interested" or " don't recommend channel" only engages with the algorithm. It often feels that simply ignoring what I don't like or want also engages.... Some things just won't go away. So now it's going to be watch what I want and ignore everything else and see how it reacts. Even that doesn't really work though. Just because I watch one of my preferred YTers recap an old amplifier does not mean I want to watch someone else do it. Not as well. In Vietnamese. YT thinks I do.
