Got it home, mounted it on the wall. Got the tv sorted flat on the table and I find my tv has what is called a VESA mount pattern 100mm by 100mm. Smallest vesa pattern the wall mount did was 200mm by 200mm. Instant buzz kill...

Had another close look at the box the wall mount came in and it stated no such mount pattern limitation - anywhere. In big prominent writing it stated suitable for 32" to 65" tv.

I'd have returned the wall mount in a real annoyed tone if I hadn't already mounted it to the wall, tearing open bags of screws and ripping out the pre-prepared drilling pattern etc.

A few hours later, calm had returned and I looked at the problem, decided I needed to make an adapter plate for between the tv and the mount. Didn't have the right thickness of steel anywhere and no aluminium plate or any offcuts even I wanted to cut into.

I finally figured out if I bought a cheap simple basic wall mount from the green shed I could use that as an adapter plate. TV is now mounted such that I can tilt and angle it to reduce glare etc and I can sit anywhere in the room and see it... but damn, what a rigamarole it was/is when the box says one thing and the worksite lays out another.
I have a suitable mount in stock, in my 'Bits & Pieces' cupboard. Trouble is getting here. The traffic is terrible at this time of the year.

The size specified on the box, but it doesn't include the feet. Too high to go in the cabinet.
Made my own from scrap, way better for stability and angle adjustment.

On Saturday I felt hungry on the way to Boonah so I stopped at a servo for a battered sausage on a stick, whatever that's called. When I squeezed the tomato sauce bottle it shot out sideways all over the front of my shirt and dripped on my ankle!

I have some kids (15+) here for the school holidays. I have been trying to get some help "outside". But the problem is it is too hot to do anything outside after lunch, and so far I have not managed to get significant signs of life before 11am!

I 'employed' two next door high school kids to shift 0.3^m pre-mix off the Defender tray, up a path and dump it in a Geddy's bin.
Absolutely no idea how to use a shovel, no idea how to lift a 20L drum (only half full) to tip it.
Quite an eye opener really, my kids were digging clay and barrowing it, pre-teen.
    Cheers

You're lucky they knew how the wheelbarrow worked and didn't try and pick it up to carry it.

I was going to find Conspiracy theory, Economics or another thread until I saw we added a straw that broke the camel's back to that old time-wasting thread I started for fun.

In your case I would stop the car before I'd listen to his take on EVs, James....

I deliver stuff, often into a wheelbarrow. I have seen a few youngsters push the barrow and walking wide to turn it and then walking backwards all the way from the dump site and not realising you can spin it and walk normally.

Conversely, I have seen young guys flip the barrow end over end while twisting it mid air and it landing on its feet at the foot of my truck chute, ready to go after some minor adjustment.

    Energy drinks huh?
