With so much emphasis put on very low risk issues not balanced by items like you are 10 times more likely to be hurt or die driving to the Doctors (or anywhere else). The really really funny list of conspiracy theory's we get told at least 10 times an hour as its is BRAND NEW never heard and Doctors and dopey medical practices staff could not yet be aware of it until you/they tell us again and................

    and again and again and....

Get my second dose today if some of the almost a hundred booked for today leave a spare dose or two If not mine is scheduled for Thursday 24th. Can I write a book with out breaching privacy is the real question

The IRON man magnetic post vaccine failure disappointing a teenager that was sure a magnet would stick to dads arm was a good one.
I will today waste a bit of the vaccine which would help save peoples life's when Covid outbreaks here again. I am not a pessimist, there is no viral vector which any countries boarder will not breach no matter how smugly we are told otherwise by fools and liars.

I do hope the other vaccination options are available before the fan is hit yet again here. Not wishing for an outbreak.

All the current batch of AZ in my vaccine fridge will go in the bin 24 October 2021. That is a bit more than sad as I wish we could help the people and countries with current out of control covid. Fiji, japan, PNG, Indonesia, Basil, India, Kazakhstan........ Billions of people would love what we are rejecting and will go to waste. The odd bit is on a global ethical issue is we have fantastic medical capability to deal with the rare blood clot issue here. That cannot be said for many of the places we are likely to be helping with the now spare capacity at CSL broad Meadows.

A political type mentioning how we can help our neighbors with AZ vaccinations neglected to consider or mention that of course. I a, going for a bike ride this weekend- OMG its at least a 1000 times more dangerous than the 1st dose I got April Fools day

Pic is my Doctors vaccination Clinic 90% did choose the way I feel is sensible happily

Finally, an explanation of the rare blood clotting associated with AZ in a small number of vaccinations. And, the symptoms to look out for.

What is Thrombocytopenia ,from the conversation.

What is thrombocytopenia, the rare blood condition possibly linked to the AstraZeneca vaccine? (theconversation.com)
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Any one who can pronounce this has my respect. Let alone spell it.

    Thrombocytopenia.

What is triggering the constant downwards revisions of age suitability for the different vaccines?

I will also add these comments though. They - the medicos and the governments - consistently promote the low numbers of people getting blood clots. That is all well and good unless you become one of those low numbers. This is a matter of luck and not science. Similarly no-one is talking about the long term effects on health and lifestyle when vaccine induced blood clots have appeared.
Aren’t almost all over 60s already in blood thinners Corona Virus

Being able to have Pfizer is far more appealing.

I'm on blood thinners, but my doctor was fine with me having AZ.

I read that about 5000 Aussies a year are hospitalised with blood clots for various reasons. It is more dangerous to drive to the vaccination clinic than it is to get vaxed with AZ.

In other news, the Melbourne couple who drove to Caloundra were released from quarantine this morning, interviewed by Qld Police and each fined $4003 for providing false information on their border pass declarations.

There are other countries that have successfully managed outbreaks as Australia has using similar techniques but being an island with a small compliant population does us a lot of favours.

As to learning I thing the bogeyman of a worldwide pandemic and its dismissal as scaremongering has probably gone for a while although humans generally are pretty good at not learning from history.

Yes, that's what I understand Japan is doing.

Yes, that's the problem with donating it to, say, PNG - and those countries also have relatively few older people for who it would be safe (OK, safe-ish) to take.
