Relative from Lismore who has just returned from Grafton says the northbound lanes of the Pacific Highway are jammed with traffic as far as can be seen in both directions fleeing a Sydney lockdown.
Byron Bay is a sitting duck for an imported outbreak. Covid fragments found in sewage at Bourke. With interstate borders closed, regional areas are very vulnerable to outbreaks.

My laymans gut feeling is starting to tell me any of the vaccines are basically as 'safe'/'unsafe' as any before them and maybe the guvvys 'acting with an over abundance of caution' on astra has shot the country in the foot unintentionally.

Hindsight, why can't we be born with it.

There seems to be some confusion over this , the AMA has slammed it as totally inadequate, and want all hotspots actually locked down, and the city of Sydney boundary runs down the middle of King ST Newtown, so one side of the street is in " lockdown", the other open for business. I'm sure they'll sort it out.
