I don't intend to be throwing rocks but we are all in this together, the outbreak in Victoria was not only initiated by those idiot removalists but also by the returning Victorian family who were also infectious.

Good to see the federal lockdown payments will now start from day 1, not day 7 as previously announced by the PM.
The need starts on day 1.
Lockdowns of 3-5 days have been very successful in stopping outbreaks from spreading, so why disqualify people if the lockdown is less than 7 days?
Short lockdowns benefit the whole country, but the people in the locked down area are making a sacrifice which benefits everyone, so they deserve compensation, I think.

All this state rivalry bs is so last century! What happened to buying Australian? We’re all in this together? Pfft! Whatever.

Hello people …We live in the World and ALL of our leaders are behaving like kids in a candy store that is not connected to the rest of the world! It is pathetic, regressive, small minded rubbish.

Where is our sense of shared responsibility, a fair go, vision for the future, regional diplomacy, international ambition? Australia is behaving like a spoilt brat stuck in the 1950’s. It’s pathetic.

30,000 + Australians have been left behind stranded overseas, we need a note from our dad if we want to travel which gets knocked back unless you’re rich or an Olympian (I wonder if the Olympic team will be stranded?). Double standards for the privileged everywhere.

Its a global pandemic - amidst a global climate crisis! and all anyone here cares about is driving their Ute on the weekend and their mortgage! Oh and the footy, which appears to be a ****ing essential service!! FFS! …Who’s whinging about Covid transmission at the footy?? Imagine the uproar if it was an arts festival !! (Which by the way have all been cancelled for the past 18 months with no JobKeeper for gig economy!)

A pretty good article that details the spread of the Delta variant through Sydney. It does explain where transmission is currently mostly occuring - social gatherings and essential work, not Loius Vitton or Bras and Things.

Worth a read COVID Sydney: Eight graphs which explain NSW outbreak

Oh, and Eevo, I appreciate and respect your input

Those ideals are so 1990's mate - the new mantra is 'Everyone for themselves, **** the rest of you!' - it should be on the Flag.

You reckon that’s a new mantra?

    It’s already the flag.

No, the Victoria Police go and interview them or charge them and extradite. Cross-border policing practices are well established.
