Ya realise QLD was the slowest introducing QR Codes……we’ll compared to NSW and ACT. ACT was so easy early on as most business ran the one platform, no need to put details into different platform at each venue. You can have all the QR code’s in the world getting people to use them is another story.

I had to drop into Chermside yesterday, I reckon less than 50% of punters walking through the door bothered too register with QR Code. No one onsite controlling it.

My daughter works for a large retail group, they cannot in force people using the QR Code.

I still think it’s more luck than good management that queensland hasn’t been affected more than it has based on my travels over the last 18 months.

Fun graphs:- Provisional Mortality Statistics, Jan 2020 - Mar 2021 | Australian Bureau of Statistics

Other years interesting too, such as 2019

"Heart Disease" is still #1 killer, in 2019 with 18,000, averag age of 84

    #2 was
Dementia with... sorry, forgotten the number but think it was around 15K

    #9 was
    Flu & pneumonia, 4,124
    at 89 years, followed by

#10 which was Falls - mainly elderly, 3,300 at 87 years

#13 was suicides, 3,318 at the sad age of 44

And this one to finish off with, Figures on flu and pneumonia deaths well down in 2020

Oh, Flu was down in 2020, but made up by :-

"Deaths due to cancer, dementia and diabetes were above historical averages by 4.0 per cent, 7.3 per cent and 9.1 per cent respectively."

But the Good News is..... yet another old drug is being looked at. Cheaper than Remdisivir, and unlike certain jabs, 'Death' not listed as a side-effect....
Clofazimine Advanced Patient Information - Drugs.com Story link here:- Leprosy drug holds promise as at-home COVID treatment

Still not as effective or safe as "Voldemort". Or "Trump Tablets"

I have seen signs of this and it is encouraging. Then some one brings politics into it. Interesting to see Qld introduced a hard border with NSW & the ACT in August 2020 because people were lying to authorities [ falsifying border passes ] breaching border requirements , and being turned back in their hundreds at the border. This time in , the number of people trying to get in illegally,[ ie from a hot spot] has been minimal. Which I guess gives the authorities the confidence to keep the border open. Any way , NSW ;

Well that’s one way of looking at it. ‘Complete ****up’ also comes to mind.

    Children under 18 RISK

Latest data from UK's NHS and other organizations over there.

ONLY 99.995% of kids ( of the around 500,000 cases) survived covid.

So, Let's put a GUARANTEED Safe JAB all kids under 18, - to save the remaining 0.005%, and penalise and restrict and Name & Shame any parent who questions the urgent need.
    " No Jab, No play"

    One of these should work

Latest VAERS figures... From a population of 10x ours and huge x our rate of jabbing.

Report JULY 7, Day 188 (?) allegedly gives total of 9,048 passed, an increase of 2,063 since their June 25 Report.

Check my figures, but that's around 2 dying per HOUR. 48 or so per DAY In the USA.

(Ball-park population equivalency of 4 or so per day in Oz)

    --- From Jabbing,

    NOT from the Virus.

Once you get to the point of having to "Contain and control " you are already on the back foot, Not a good way to win a fight.
Go hard and go fast with a lockdown and border closure seems to be the Best method to keep the community safe from this new strain..

Keeping the borders open despite the obvious risks because of the Fear of a political backlash by closing the borders is cowardly and irresponsible IMHO.

So the removalists weren't wearing masks at the apartments. Once again Sydney exports Covid to Melbourne. Bet Victorians are not impressed.

As for Qld, I reckon it would only take one case north of Sydney to cause Qld to shut the border. Byron Bay would be a likely place with so many Sydney people having got out before the lockdown to go to Byron.
Qld gets the daily sewage testing results from northern NSW.

We are not…. You can’t control things properly when ****wits don’t obey the rules and think they don’t apply to them.

This thread has nothing to do with politics.

Criticism of the failures of leadership on Covid19 in Australia, including the lack of provision of adequate quarantine facilities and the appalling vaccine roll out, etc, in 2021 is entirely legitimate and would apply no matter who was in government.

Anyone who asserts that the thread is not about politics when they don't like the viewpoint of a post is actually playing politics themselves.

Of course it is all about politics - Covid and Politics are completely intertwined - a fact of life.
