    C'mon Trout, don't lower youself to the trolling level. If Qld had locked the gate the outcry would be unbearable from the masses of haters in the fringes. Qld will do what is right & safe for Qld. end of story.
    I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

    Not "Trolling" at all old mate.
    Waiting untill this delta virus spreads into the community before getting proactive didn't work in NSW so what makes you so sure it will work in QLD??

    Agree…although I still reckon it will be a different tune once the NRL has relocated and NSW go 3 zip tonight.

    although I like the QLD approach to date this time round…….looking like I could have did my work trip into regional NSW this week. Not that I’m complaining as every extra night home is a bonus.

    No one knows with this virus, but up here our contact tracers, medical people and Police are on high alert,our QR codes are in just about every business [ in the SE at least] any suggestion of covid in the community will be dealt with quickly, and effectively. As it has every time in the past.It's because we have our covid teams up to speed now [ in the beginning we were still learning like every one else] that we are confident to be able to quickly contain it , and control it. However as I said , no one knows for sure with this virus. So, we wait. And hope. [ Edit The biggest complaints in the past has come from those who have to cross the border to work. A very selfish attitude, and not one the majority of those in the SE corner endorse.]

    Remember that NSW had the 'Gold Standard' for contact tracing - that worked so well for them.

    Yes, it did . I believe they learned from the experiences in VIC., and Qld has learned from the experiences in both Vic and NSW. But now NSW is being stretched like never before. Their contact tracers must be working incredibly hard. They deserve all the praise we can give them. However, what has come out of this is we can only beat this thing if we all work together. I have seen signs of this and it is encouraging. Then some one brings politics into it. Interesting to see Qld introduced a hard border with NSW & the ACT in August 2020 because people were lying to authorities [ falsifying border passes ] breaching border requirements , and being turned back in their hundreds at the border. This time in , the number of people trying to get in illegally,[ ie from a hot spot] has been minimal. Which I guess gives the authorities the confidence to keep the border open. Any way , NSW ;
