True but amongst them it does pick up covid and as NSW Health said a week or so back it is just another tool and the issue is clarified with the next test in the system when Covid vs the others is immediately identified.Quote:

9 of 16 of today's Qld cases are children, but they aren't recommended to get vaxed. Why not? Getting Covid is far more dangerous than getting vaxed.
Time to scrap the age limits and offer any VAX to anyone of any age, with the approval of a GP, I think.
Interesting today Qld Health Minister said she has asked the Commonwealth to send the state's AZ to GPs and pharmacies. She said if a GP has given people their first AZ, they will be able to get their second AZ from pharmacies, to free up spaces at GPs for first jabs.
Good move.
According to the CDC in the US, children are not likely to get seriously ill from COVID [ although the US was reported to have 400 deaths in children, out of about 1 million cases.] They are far more likely to suffer from long COVID, far into adulthood. And no one knows the end result of that.Quote:

In the USA, Pfizer & Moderna are expanding vaccine trials from children aged 5 to 11. The vaccines have already been approved for children over 12. The Qld CHO today said any one under 60 who wanted AZ should talk to their GP, and make a decision based on medical advice. Delta has softened her stance on AZ for under 60's.Quote:
