I think if I was the family of the 60 yo lady that died in Liverpool hospital from Covid yesterday I would suing the NSW Health system.
The woman went to Liverpool Hospital for a minor procedure and a Covid positive person was placed in the same room and of course the woman got infected and died a week later.
The NSW Chief Health officer apologised this morning but dodged questions to gain detailed information.
Now I know the health workers are doing their best and are under a lot of stress - are to be commended but mistakes like this are not acceptable and people need to be held to account. Even before Covid, Liverpool Hospital had a woeful record of negligence cause by over work and under finding but it seems they are not learning from their mistakes and people are dying.

There are worse things than being asked to stay in your own home. Just a reminder we may not be so bad off after all.

You might want to take the time to actually watch the press conference yourself because if you had you wouldn't be jumping to the conclusions you have.
She answered all questions directly:
- The woman was not in a ward with other know COVID patients
- COVID was unknowingly brought into the hospital by a nurse
- The woman caught COVID from a nurse who was working across two wards neither of which were COVID wards
Cheers,
Sean

I was referring to Australia in the last 50 years - I'm aware of Australia's history as separate colonies - which I'd point out ended 120 years ago. As I think that I've posted before, what's surprising is how resilient those former colonial attitudes and grievances are, given the passage of time.

I wasn't pointing to any one in particular, more like a general statement. The fact is, children of my generation were taught more about English history, than Australian. And there was no indigenous history at all. Your suggestion that Australia has become a series of mini countries over covid shows a similar lack of knowledge of our development as a Nation, and a Commonwealth. That's not a criticism, BTW. How much of our history, from pre Federation to this point, have you been taught?
