29 cases in Vic today ...

.... which is a real shock. What's interesting is that it's the same schools and public housing blocks as were involved last year. Same issues too, with multiple family members infected - 8 of the new cases were one family in housing commission.

The problem is, how much were those 29 out and about whilst infectious?

The mystery cases aren't that much of a mystery because the contact tracers keep missing relevant info - like the infected person who flew from Sydney to Launceston via Melbourne came back two days later - which the authorities here don't appear to be aware of. They've listed his flights on Monday as exposures but not the flights back on Wednesday. Same thing happened with the removalists - the contact tracers didn't even look to identify where they went when they came back into Victoria, in fact they appear to not have realised that they did come back into Victoria.

If pollies don't have a financial investment in this.... they certainly have an Ego-based drive to 'Double-Down' and NOT change their game, as you so correctly put it.

What is YOUR average or expected weekly gross income when things are not as they are right now ?

What does it plummet to in a lock-down....

What is the base - rate WEEKLY pay of.... Your Premier, and Parliamentarians, of YOUR State ? - which they keep on getting every week of a lockdown or not.

Unless I'm mistaken, there was no economically suicidal 'lockdown' suggested or undertaken for the more recent Pandemics, notably 1968 onwards.

You've come to the wrong place for anarchy , brother.

My older son in Melbourne has been notified he is a tier 1 contact from the shopping centre in Caroline Springs. Get tested and isolate for fourteen days.

At the moment he is trying to find a testing station that he can get into.

That's news no one wants to hear. Unfortunately, I think we may all be touched by this disease before it's over. Good luck to your son. Is he vaccinated?

If other states also keep their borders closed to NSW until next year, NSW people may feel like outcasts in their own country, particularly over the Christmas holidays, when they won't be able to leave NSW.
This would mean we would not be able to see most of both our families until next year. Not good.
McGowan is just playing politics as usual Corona Virus

Armidale/the New England is in lockdown from today, does that sound like the NSW State govt is letting it run?

The WA Premier has continually lobbed verbal grenades at the eastern States to improve his standing with his own constituents. (and was strangely quiet when C19 escaped Perth quarantine hotels)

It's politics at its basest, nothing more.

Armidale & Guyra , and it's just stay at home orders. What it is with WA is just pay back for the politics played early in the pandemic, by Morrison Gladys & co. Not needed at all, at this stage.

I got a slight error - he is tier 2, not tier 1. He is fully vaccinated, his wife has her second (I think) booked for Monday.
