Well, the latest Qld presser has stated 13 new cases , 12 in quarantine , 1 a child, still checking if the child was in quarantine . Over 10,000 in home quarantine , over 40,000 tests, 5 day tests of close contacts in Rockhampton all negative, 7 testing sites open in Cairns , no positives there yet. People still trying to cross the border into Qld illegally, $ 4,000 fines given out. All in all, a positive vibe from authorities, but my gut feeling is lock down may be extended to next Friday. Or it may just be indigestion. Even when we come out of lockdown, those in quarantine now will have rolling isolation periods as each member of the household tests positive. 5 in a household , each testing positive at different times, that's going to take a while. Every effort is being made to support them, but it will be a hard time for them for a while. Lock down legends they are calling them, and they have been.

What do you do when neighbours have the attitude that the current restrictions don't apply to them and are breaching them would you dob them in, or turn a blind eye knowing that you have to live next to them in harmony?

QLD's CARE Army. Just got this E-Mail.

    Dear xxxx
We are thrilled with the willingness of so many Queenslander’s to lend a helping hand at this time of need. Thank you for your offer to assist older and vulnerable people living in our community who may not have friends, family or neighbours who are able to support them during the COVID-19 outbreak.
As requests are received from organistions needing volunteers, we will match these requests to registered volunteers such as yourself based on location, skills, availability, etc.
We anticipate that requests for volunteer assistance will be received over the weeks and even months ahead, so you may not be contacted immediately. As requests for volunteers come through, we will contact you with a range of roles and organisations for you to volunteer with.
You may be providing food or medicine drops, transport to appointments, lawn mowing, packing of goods, or something as simple as a daily telephone call. Whichever role you choose you will be making a huge difference to Queensland seniors.
When you volunteer with an organisation you will receive appropriate direction and safety briefings. Please be assured, the health, privacy and well-being of volunteers and the people you’re supporting is our top priority.
In the meantime, we encourage you to continue to help your grandparents, parents, neighbours or friends to stay home and stay safe.
Volunteering Queensland is proud to partner with the Queensland Government on their Care Army initiative, which we are delivering through our Emergency Volunteering service. Please go to emergencyvolunteering.com.au/qld for further information.
Stay up to date with the latest COVID-19 information on the Queensland Health website.
Your generosity, care, concern and compassion for others is much appreciated. By helping one another we will get through this pandemic and emerge a stronger, more connected and inclusive Queensland.
    Thank you.

NSW recorded 319 new locally acquired COVID-19 infections in the 24 hours to 8:00pm yesterday.
It’s the first time the state has ever had more than 300 cases in a day.
anyone that thinks that is acceptable is delusional

when are they going to lock the place down hard ?

Those are the sort of people causing us some of the difficulties we are experiencing here in Sydney. You don't want that, they need a kick up the back side.
    Cheers,
