    One for the Experts,,,

Best simply read, digested and commented on. Same theme as I'm seeing from other Virologists... ie, 'During an epidemic is not the ideal time to vaccinate...'

Which makes one wonder about the rising screeches from some Premiers, each out-doing each other with impending Doom & Gloom...

Which implies Israel, Gibralter and Seychelles may end up as 'Variant Factories'.

Not always a bad thing, as each new one is generally more infectious / less deadly.

As an aside, how many deaths from FLU did we have in 2018 ?
    How many in hospital? and
how many diagnosed with flu, but not progressed beyond Man Flu ?

(I've been told around 812 dead in 2019, with c. 4k in hospital, all ages.)

Anyone in the horse world notice a shortage of Ivermectin / parasite paste ?

Merck, which makes our scabies - human version - is cutting off supplies, due to a 'shortage"... - But Fear Not, they're putting up a ...'novel' anti-viral medicine for approval.

Makes you wonder why every other virus expert isn't putting forward the same line.

Sitting on the son's deck in Brisbane on a beautiful early Spring day, drinking his Byron Bay Brewery beer, very glad the border with NSW is shut, and feeling sorry for NSW people, including our relatives on both sides, having to suffer like this.
Need not have been like this.

Her earlier claims about vaccines causing infertility have been widely discredited.

    Absolute garbage!

Perhaps worth pointing out that the people to pay attention to are epidemiologists, not virologists (and most of the virologists would also call this garbage as well). And the effectiveness of vaccines is clearly shown in that in the USA at present about 97% of those admitted to hospital, and almost all deaths, are unvaccinated against a background of about 50% vaccination. Same in the UK, which has even higher vaccination rates. The current outbreak in Australia has, if I remember rightly, only one vaccinated death, although that case was in palliative care (and not from covid), but the number of deaths and proportion vaccinated in this country means the error bars are so large that no conclusions can be drawn, except that the results are consistent with overseas experience.

And no controlled and properly documented studies have shown any positive effect of chloroquin, hydroxychloroquin or ivermectin against this virus, nor has any plausible mechanism for this been shown.

Well as a tax payer are doctors double dipping when giving the Jab?

I waiting patiently for notification of an available jab…..it’s at a hub and it’s pretty much turn up amd get jabbed. 1st Oct.

Today, wife rings and says her doctor has cancellation of a jab this Thursday, I accepted only to than be told I need an appointment prior to the jab to discuss with doctor which needs to be Tuesday…..so two appointments, both bulk billed, for the 1 jab.

Why do I need two appointment with private doctor and only 1 15min appointment at the hub?

I don’t get why it cannot be done in the one appointment……I smell a rat.

Yep, that one is double dipping. Greedy.
Thankfully most play by the rules.
    Dob him in.

I did contemplated cancelling…..but it’s the brides doctor.

I travel interstate for work and with states hinting if you have at least one jab and you’re considered essential you maybe able to cross borders during lockdowns.
