Corona Virus

We get briefings every day in hospital in New Zealand from various counteries especially Italy .two stood out yesterday.
1. Yes lungs are ending up afffected and scarred in recovered people so even if you are young there can be lasting effects no definitive stats yet.
2.found hospitals in Italy have become pits of virus infection hence more community treatments now,most dangerous infection sites were the elevators used by everyone, lovely metal surface...very hard to get staff especially to use firedoors and stairs and practice aseptic technique to open doors
3.this transfers the virus from ward to ward ....
In haste off to work we are into full PPE gear today..

I know of no way to BSB to theire account without phone or internet banking, and I use neither. (And mobile does not work here)

Nearest chemist is 60km away, and nobody delivers here. Nearest bitumen is 17km from my gate, and the creek crossing frightens most people away (4wd only if it rains, which it is at the moment). The village only has a rural supplies store, and I understand it has shut or almost so.

G'morning JD, your place sounds awesome. Sorry to hear the situation has issues with context at the moment. Hope someone local can assist. My brother lives remote NZ and he wrote, on facebook recently something along the lines of "you know you live remote when self-isolate means no change required." or something to that effect.

I used to live in remote bush hunting camps here in NZ and I used to get 'care' packages (bread, real milk, toilet paper, newspapers etc) dropped off by helicopter hunters when they saw camp smoke about, they'd drop in for a brew (cuppa billy tea - two sugars/milk). Are there any flyers local to you who could drop a package off on their way past? Payment still an issue but .... Just looking at how big the square is to think outside it.

I have added the uppercase word to your quote to show how I understand the data.

And because so many have it and have not been recorded as having it (That is likely based on how it spreads and how little of the population has been tested) and because the percentages of those who had an outcome and died were only those who tested as positive, the death rate versus recovery rate is misleading. The only figure that counts is the percentage who died of all of those with the disease. Otherwise the numbers are skewed.

It looks like you will have to make the choice of taking the risk in going to get your prescriptions/flue jab yourself or learn how to do internet banking (you obviously have internet connection there) or maybe forgoing some of your medications if possible for a while.
