These reports come from "Radio Free Asia", which is a US Government propaganda arm, which, according to Wikipedia, was originally set up by the CIA. Think "Radio Free Europe" aimed at China.
Estimates Show Wuhan Death Toll Far Higher Than Official Figure

I also checked Caixin re the claim in the SCMP that they'd reported a truck driver delivering lots of urns, but nothing in the English version that I could see. But in case you read Chinese, here's the Chinese version:

But even then - so what? Wuhan is part of a vast conurbation and Hubei province has a population of 59 million - so there would always be a lot of cremations.
The current crop of world leaders are not learning from what the Chinese government did to control this thing. The absolute true numbers in China do not really matter. What matters is the shape of their curve and how they got the situation apparently under control as they did, when they did. Imagine if they had not. Provinces and cities (with the populations of large/small countries) in China were locked down in days after some political obfuscation, sure, but they were locked down hard eventually. An important point to note here is that obfuscation is not the sole domain of only the Chinese government.
The difference between the Chinese curve shape and the exponential curves we are seeing around the world now, to a very large degree, not only reflects the differences of how authorities/governments react to threats/knowledge but also how we react to those authority's decisions and to each other; and the relative levels of testing undertaken.
In a perfect world... [bighmmm]
The Nikkei Asian review has their own ideas on China.
China is rewriting coronavirus history and nobody will stop it
You have a selective memory. The story that you posted about the Chinese Navy being loaded with contraband was absolute rubbish. The Chinese companies were sending essential supplies back to China at that time, and it was common knowledge. And it was legal. Now it is not .Simple. Don't get carried away. You've nothing to laugh about.
Anyone working from home at the moment will appreciate this.

If the virus cases don't get much worse, our hospitals should cope , even without the private hospitals.
If coronavirus cases don't grow any faster, our health system will probably cope
Australia’s infection rate appears to be slowing
The number of new COVID-19 cases in Australia has flattened over the past five days.https://images.theconversation.com/f...fit=crop&dpr=1This is not just because new arrivals have slowed with much tighter border controls, and the slump in international air travel. The number of new local infections each day is also not growing.
