While it is possible that all these excess deaths are not due to covid-19, that is most likely explanation.
A news report from 23 March suggests at that time modelling showed there could be 700,000 cases in Indonesia. Modelling also suggested there could be over 1 million cases by the end of April. By the end of March only 1727 tests had been done, 1 for every 156,000, equivalent to 160 tests for the whole of Australia's population. Going on those figures , Indonesia could be the worst effected nation by the virus. And at the end of it, Indonesia could have the highest number with "herd immunity " [ if there is such a thing ] in the World. A case of Hobsons choice for the Indonesian people ?

    From March 23rd.

Just in Time production policy was a child of the 90's which often paired with Value Added Management at all levels.

It worked reasonably well for small business and saved massively on warehousing.

It was really a pre IT system which worked beautifully with slower paced ordering and delivery systems , but no one wants just in time management now , they want it now management.

Companies made fortunes selling the programming and training staff to utilise Just in Time and Value Added systems but the operation required constant tuning and motivational training for staff and constant small operational group meetings , priority control and time utilisation training as well.

The fatal flaws should not exist if the systems are being run properly at all levels , time results just need to be adjusted and accepted by the end user under the current situation.

Doesn't seem to have worked well at the early days of the virus, what with aircraft and ship restrictions. Would definitely not work in a time of war, I suggest. Perhaps better discussed further in CA,.

    yes you're right Bob.

it's actually a very communistic type system in it's best operating form , where traditional company executives must listen to the lowest paid employee's suggestion and if voted on by the working group in which the employee is part of , must be adopted.....if not, the system fails.

in fact Harley-Davidson was saved from death in the early 90's , and it was suggestions from the employees , who knew the companies operations and problems , that saved it.

They did , in fact , employ value added management alongside just in time production , which actually saved the brand. The turn around was quite rapid and they still use the system today.
