Ah, that's bad. Hope you're wrong, or that she's among the 80% who only have mild symptoms.

    cheers mick.

she has a dry cough but no fever.
and after yesterday announcement of where the new cases are locally, she's probably been in contact with several of them though pure luck.

That's quite true but look at what kiddies do for themselves today. Not much. Today they're driven to school, sport, friends' houses, shopping centres etc. Parenting age folk these days seem very insecure in themselves and expect the child's upbringing to be managed for them or are afraid to stamp their authority.
I'm sure there are current parents who do rear their offspring successfully without help but they seem to be scarce on the ground.

A case in point. My wife, who is an 'Essential Service' person, had cause to visit the Caboolture shopping centre today. She said that it was full of people, with children everywhere! Now, where is the parental control in that? I've never subscribed to the 'Gene Pool' theory but it's starting to look realistic to me.

It won't just be laziness that parents will be realising wasn't the teacher or the schools problem.

Overseas Australians will be able to access regular flights home from London, Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Auckland for the next four weeks, Foreign Minister Marise Payne says. Plus what really happened on the Ruby Princess.

have two extended families members who have tested positive and both have mild symptoms and are recovery well. Hope your mum is in the same boat, or even better the test result is negative.
