Yes, discussed on the news a few minutes ago. The investigation is starting with looking at the communications between the ship and the various shore authorities and the communications between them. They are talking about bringing the ship into harbour to allow investigations on board, and they are also planning to question passengers.

Whatever sort of investigation it is, one can almost guarantee that those in the senior executive (including the Minister) will not be charged or have their reputations tarnished in any way, and some poor lowly public servant will be made the scapegoat.

some of the chatter about it on twitter has been very interesting to say the least...

they have been chasing a link to some religious politicians and family members on the ruby

took them 2 weeks or so but they got their connection it seems

the ducking and weaving should be as interesting to chatter leading up to it...

From the whispers I've heard, it's a State V Federal thing. The State has made it a criminal investigation , after some heavy handed Federal pressure. This could get very ugly.

You may be interested to read this part of an e-mail from WW rcd here today. Don't feel too bad about grabbing a few rolls of arsewipe.

Amazing as it might seem, we are still seeing almost double our normal demand for toilet paper. Just this week, that was over 20.5 million rolls. So despite much more stock coming in, we’re still not where we need to be. It is slowly improving, but please help everyone by only buying what you need

I read an analysis this morning. It made sense. Many of those now locked down used to go to work and dump there. Work hours #2 = work toilet paper. Now we are all in lockdown the demand for smaller domestic size #2 wrappers has increased to a large extent.

It was an interesting article. Essential services need essential suppliers etc. Revolved around the saying "for the want of a nail".

Yes, I already knew about the flour bags, and had guessed about the toilet paper issue.

And as the article says, there will be a lot of similar issues.
