No one I know can believe they continued driving out west after the call.

What I'm not sure about is the Chinderah case earlier in the week, was it one of these blokes?
It was a little ambiguous when a potential northern NSW positive visit was mentioned in the press conference earlier in the day.
Little information was divulged as NSW Health were still trying to piece it together.

Just had a look at a map, to get to Molong they had to pass thru Lithgow, Bathurst and Orange. Scroll in & out to see.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Around here the land rats have been doing that since way before Covid to stop theft.

On the 'Escape to the Country' theme real estate value in regional Vic has gone nuts in the last 6 months.

Houses in Maldon....... 900k, even as far away from Melby as Charlton and Donald......500k.

My place has probably gone up by 30 to 40% in 6 months.

I imagine for remote regions Health would heavily rely on locals ringing a Police hotline , so very difficult to stay on top of it. The Qld border at the Gold Coast the other day had over a thousand cars checked and only one turned back. That could mean that people are being very good, or bypassing the coast .I know if you know your way around there are any number of places to cross the border , and I doubt there are enough Police to cover them all.

The local rag said they stopped at the storage sheds at the North of Orange. Hopefully they didn't contact anyone.
Three positive COVID cases travelled to Molong near Orange | Central Western Daily | Orange, NSW

The also stopped at South Bowenfels, probably it was at the Servo on the highway, but they still need to touch the bowser and go into the shop.
    Cheers

We won't know until next week, I guess. But if they didn't come face to face with some one, I don't know if you can pick covid up from touching, although I seem to recall something very early in the piece on that. It may be the towns they passed thru have dodged a bullet, but it's a worry for residents there for sure. Any news on Goulburn? If there are infections there they should be showing up by now I think.

During the last Vic Melb lockdown there was a surfer from Melb who showed up in the line up at Winki, next to Bells, and was chatting to the locals about how he'd found a way to get there without detection.

He was lucky to get out of there without being beaten up from what I've heard.

Torquay must be getting soft.......... if anyone (outa towner) just surfed there years ago and upset the locals you would get 'educated'.

Was always going to be a problem when ideology ignores reality, and ego overrides commonsense.
