An interesting article detailing the difference in the UKs response to coronavirus to Europe. I suspect that there is a valid point that people will get crisis fatigue from draconian social distancing measures just when they are most needed.

It's a gamble. But it might pay off. The stakes are high, Boris just might be a man for a crisis. I still say the key is good communication between government and the people. And consistency in the message, with the key people setting an example. Hasn't happened here yet, unfortunately.

Here is a summary of possible ramifications,its a long time since I studied epidemics but if herd behaviour worked to create immunity we wouldnt have had less problems with other viruses and other diseases in past history like smallpox,polio etc and the elephant in the room is poseible ongoing viral mutation slowing development of population immunity
