An interesting aside to the Premiers daily News Conference is the interaction and banter between the Premier and the Newsies. Most are polite, knowledgeable and well up to the task but there's a couple of standouts for all the wrong reasons. Sky News and the Herald Sun have been well and truly going after the Premier.

But your summary is also spot on with the state of play between politicians and the media.

Originally the daily briefing was excellent - but recently it seems to be a daily slanging match - certainly not what you would expect from our leaders. Andrews was probably more wound up but he must be getting fatigued by now.

The key take always points remain the same but it is interesting that different people can watch the same briefing and take away a different message.

I have no doubt Andrews is not happy with the arrangement, but his team had been engaged in the details of the process and raised no concerns.

The good news for those returning from NZ is Victoria won’t be making any changes. Plus it looks like Tasmania and South Australia are looking at opening up their arrival process as well soon - Tasmania even open to allowing people from NSW back without quarantine.

Things are on the up [emoji106]

Ta. Yeah the patient in question is across the ward. I’m looking at their door from my ”parent bed” as I type this. Slightly surreal actually.

Its reassuring watching the precautions being taken as people enter and leave the room. Not so reassuring that nobody knows where they got it from.

On the political angle, (and this is just me, I’m not having a go at anyone) I decided a while ago that opinions are like arseholes. Everyone has one and they’re best kept to themselves. I stopped both casting and taking the bait and I’ve found on-line life considerably more relaxing. Forum rules aside, people are entitled to their opinion and to state it. I’m also entitled to find it distasteful, but I’m not contributing anything to the conversation by saying so.

I put trying to debunk conspiracy theories in that basket too.

The world would be a pretty boring place if everyone was like me. What is it the French say? Vive la difference.

Strolled a bit off topic there. I have a headache.

Off topic can be a stress reliever. Just checking on my Canadian mate and note they have laid out one Billion spreading their bets. We have a few mill here or there[bigwhistle]. That's off topic or .. take care mate

Was sought of talking about current events and what we are doing now in lifting restrictions too quickly to appease peoples wishes , Including ( NZ Bubble ) , if it was 820 in Britain in August as you say lets hope we not in the same boat in Jan 2021 as they are now , as we seem to doing now what they did then .
