The scenes in the UK on the day before they go into lockdown looked just like Melbourne back at the start of August.

Restaurants and bars packed, hairdressers working flat out, and everyone doing last minute shopping - toilet paper probably high on the shopping list. Almost a party atmosphere.

And they think it will be just 4 weeks.....good luck.

To our UK friends - hang in there and be prepared for the lockdown to be extended if needed. It is tough, not fun, and if it gets extended it quickly becomes very frustrating.

But the pain is worth it.

Agreed - no chance of a lockdown. That is why they have the right to bear arms - to overthrow the government if it steps out of line.

I have no idea how this relates to other viruses and the immuno suppressed but it seems pretty amazing.
