When we bought our first house they were 18%.:eek2:
Dont really want to see them there again, but somewhere in the mid to high single figures would be nice.
But I cant see that ever happening again.

... as of today Victoria has had 28 days without a new case of COVID-19.
The virus is probably still circulating but hopefully we’ll catch outbreaks quicker next time.
Funny thing is, although masks no longer have to be worn outside, well over 50% of people are still doing so, not least because you have to put one on if you go into a building, so it’s simpler to just leave it on.
Correct, and helps with rent, we have commercial properties.Rents have actually come down slightly, over the last 5yrs,but the value of the properties has jumped way up,as they are now valued at a much lower return %.Demand for a good tenanted investment is also very high.
But we own them all and bought them years ago, so not really worried. They were nearly all bought on a 10% return,at the time, but today, you wouldn't get anything at that sort of return. And you would be paying a lot more for the property.
As long as they are tenanted, which they always have been, we will be fine.
Very difficult for people that have retired, and are living off savings or super.
Obviously depending on their circumstances, everyone is different.
Pakistan cricket team not playing the game. NZ is not happy, I don't blame them.
'Behave yourself': Cricket legend's fury after Pakistan team's virus breach (thenewdaily.com.au)
Yep, Ole Shoaib Akhtar trying to maintain some relevance.
What that article is not overly clear on is that some of six positive were amongst the minglers in the corridor with other members of the team who tested negative. Today's test results from day three of the testing regime has indicated one more Pakistani cricketer is positive.
Our Ministry of Health allowed them here while kiwi's are being turned away from returning to NZ due to a lack of Managed Isolation rooms. They are privileged to be here, not the other way around. I would welcome the idea of 53 kiwi's returning to families for christmas over a 53-member sports team. Our health authorities had even allowed them to train in small groups while in Managed Isolation. Those privileges have been revoked.

You've got to love Shoab's comentary ........ “You are talking about Pakistan – the greatest country on the planet ...........", talk about rose coloured glasses :Rolling::Rolling:
More realistically Pakistan's President and cricketing legend Imran Khan is on the ropes politically and this is probably an effort to further marginalise/weaken him with a dammed if he does/dammed if he doesn't support the Pakistans cricket teams arrogant stupidity.
It's also worth noting Imran khan has better batting and bowling averages than Shoab Aktar so maybe a bit of jealosy as well. [bigwhistle][biggrin]
