Seems likely they were voices that should have been heard sooner.
Seems like our NZ cousins are more like us than we think. [ As long as you over there don't fall into the trap of playing politics like us here]

In short, yes, I guess so. At this stage I gather from the press conference, it is two things under investigation. Aerosols (filtration) and fomites (surface contamination).

The genomic results indicate the virus was from a person who moved into managed isolation on 9 Jan and test positive on their day 3 test. The woman we are discussing was released on 13 Jan. An overlap of only a few days. They were a few rooms apart on the same floor. Filtration is being stepped up just in case it was this.

I know 'er indoors wouldn't want you to know that she said it but....... "Good Ventilation will be important with this Mr bee, you mark my words". "It stands to reason" I recall 'er saying.

Actually spoken 10 days after this thing broke out, especially after the Cruise ship fiascos,

Not often I say it but I dips me lid to 'er professional Opinions.

I think our summer season idyll and the lack of recent scares or the relief earlier issues didn't escalate lulled everyone into a sense of complacency. Our decision makers included.

GOTTA be fixed before the rugby starts ! That would be a tragedy if it isn't. Especially now the REDS are looking good.

Looking forward to the cricket first though. Black caps have been doing well and Australia are here soon for a five game 20 20 series.

Didn't India play well. Their Captain went home, there were 8 top players out, all out for 36? in the first test, yet still gave Australia a lesson. The last test at the Gabba was one for the ages, a ripper. [ There should be an add in your local newspaper for a couple of opening batsmen, it seems the Aus. cricket board is using the Qld State of Origin selection criteria in their search.]

You do understand how these Quangos work after all, Dr?

    Serious bit.

Back in the olde days it was customary to open all windows & doors on fine days to the outside so the house could :breath"
Lots of chemicals given off even back then.

The Metho content of "EZY-WORK floor stain" used religiously every couple of weeks springs to mind but there were quite a few others that needed venting.

MDF as used in Builtin furniture is another source of Gasses.

People shut up the house tightly & bugger off to work all day. The Formaldehyde gas can build up. Come home you breath it in.

That can't be good. They use that to preserve stiffs.

    MDF formaldehyde

The glue used in MDF is usually urea formaldehyde (UF). UF is a solid chemical made from a mixture of urea and formaldehyde. Extra formaldehyde may be added to the urea to make a stronger bond. The more extra formaldehyde there is, the more formaldehyde will be trapped in the wood and later emitted as a gas.

Apparently IKEA stuff does not contain Formaldehyde.

    People also ask

    Is formaldehyde in MDF dangerous?

    Is MDF furniture toxic?

As MDF is full of potentially toxic chemicals, such as formaldehyde and VOCs, MDF furniture is not a safe choice. The best option is solid wood furniture with a natural finish.Jul 23, 2020

Plenty of others we take for granted.
