This has bought out a truly ugly side of society that lurks just below the surface.

I mentioned in another post that the customers at our Aldi were first class, my wife tells me the Woolworths ones were just as good when she was there. Looking at all the news around the place, I couldn't put my finger on why we should have well behaved citizens, and others don't. I put it down to the fact Sandgate is really still like a little country town, everyone knows everyone else, all be it a few times removed. If any one acted like a dick, the word would get around, and they would be sorted. Also, some of those maligned " dole bludgers " were the first to help the elderly carry their goods to their cars [ I know these people] and generally assist any way they could. I guess having to live on struggle street develops ones character. I'm glad I live where I live.

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

I designed some basic perspex screens for our reception staff to give them some protection. I'm now fielding calls from all over the hospital to make more, I should be charging for them!

If alcohol kills Covid - 19, should we all just get on the turps to stay safe?
    Corona Virus

Yes, I do know alcohol and Covif go to different places, but its still an interesting thought.

Except for crocodiles. Now, THEY are scary. And Buffalo. And those little ants that bite like hell. Scary as.

I think my brother follows that philosophy. He's locked himself in his caravan park cabin with a supply of bundy rum, and no one has seen him since. I ring him occasionally, all I get is some mumbles. He'll wonder what the fuss was all about when its over, I guess.

You'll never know for sure what happened there... That's why I am concentrating on AU figures as they come to hand

No one will know the price India has to pay. Total lockdown, the poorest of the poor can't move out of their slums to earn enough for food, the teeming thousands have no way to control this virus. Makes our problems look good by comparison.

I like the look of that.
Why are people panicking?....Well I can'y say for everyone, but I guess it's early days to say where we are really, & so many people have lost their jobs, income etc, they're frightened to go out, some arseholes DO go out with the possibility of further infections, IMHO many are just ****ting themselves because they don't know what the future holds for them, None of us do I guess! However, I believe that if EVERYONE did as they were told & kept the self isolating rule, we could beat this,..trouble is I reckon there are too many selfish know alls who disregard & infect,....what to do I don't know,..in some countries they'd shoot 'em, but in Aussie???
But Bob, a few more graphs like the one you've shown would be "very good medicine" IMHO.
    Regards, Pickles.
