No doubt both sets of idiots had rationalisations of some sort to sustain them.
    Agree.
Unfortunately, MOST of us would "obey the rules" without harsh measures, but there are always the "Ferals" the arseholes who won't be told, that could ruin things for all of us, that make strict rules very necessary at this stage.
Some people seem to be just stupid, I'll give you an example. Last week I was in our local Foodworks Supermarket, only a small shop, but within walking distance for us. Anyway, I'm in one of the isles looking for something & this woman walks very quickly (so quickly that I had no chance to get away from her) up the isle, so quickly that she almost bumps into me, giving me no chance to be 1.5M away. So stupid,...how would she know whether I was infected or not,....didn't even think about herself,....these are the idiots that make the need for "Rules".

Fortunately I have only been going to town every 2-3 weeks for the last 6-7 years (Except when we did our usual 2-3 months wither travelling) so this "Isolation" that we are now having doesn't really affect us too much.
Apart from the caravan being parked up and the boat anchored up in the back yard for the foreseeable future Not too much has changed for us

IF EVERYONE simply plays by the rules we will all be safer and the situation will resolve itself Much faster
Moaning and complaining about the situation is Unhelpful and blatantly ignoring the rules is Irresponsible and selfish.

I may have been a bit harsh on our Police. There seems to have been just the one incident, the Willawong dump, where an over zealous officer did a mass fining. The official policy is as follows.

"Where police see people doing the wrong thing, they have a conversation with them and if they are trying to do the right thing and they are not understanding what's required of them we give them the opportunity to comply and then if they do the wrong thing, then we take action."He said police had set up a process for fines to be reviewed, after a number of people were penalised for using the Willawong dump over the weekend, despite the facility being open and accepting rubbish.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

So I had to go to super cheap today,no worries, got what I needed.

I decide I will walk over to Bunnings to get something I need for home.
There was a line of at least 50 waiting to get in,with a security guard at the new “entrance door”,which until recently was a fire escape door.
Seems they will not let more than so many in the store at one time.

Oh well, gave that a miss and went around the corner, down the road,to Mitre ten,no worries getting in there.

You and I are very fortunate that we have been in 'Isolation' for several years. None of my normal day to day activities have changed.
I suppose I should have more sympathy for all the people who have had their Latte mornings at all the 'Ima Knob' outdoor cafes and the like, taken away from them but, I can't find it in me.

Does Mitre 10 still exist? I thought Bunnings wiped them out - certainly no Mitre 10s where I live - only Bunnings and the local store now franchised with Home Timber & Hardware.

I reckon you would as well if you'd seen him washing the sand out of his BS. Maybe not.

Yes, the thing to note here is that the people that we saw breaching the social distancing laws were solidly middle-class and therefore not "ferals" in that sense. Ditto for a lot of the people who went down the coast, notwithstanding that you weren't supposed to go away unless you actually owned the house.

I actually had someone cough on me in a queue and when I turned and looked at him he said "coronavirus". He seemed to think that it was a joke.
