Regardless of the me me me wonkers, you do what works for you at the end of the day to protect yourself & your family as best you can.

Hopefully the selfish non thinking can't see ahead brigade will reap what they sow & still wonder why "me me me" while trying to breath past the fluid in their lungs.?"

Our daughter works for a business which sends Qld crews south over the border every day to install insulation in houses. Most of those houses are empty, so there is little contact with residents, so not much danger of transmission. Those crews have Qld Entry Passes taped to the windscreen so they can come back.
Tourism is a bit different as people stay around and mix. There is a danger of infected city residents taking the virus to country towns which have been relatively free of it. I read a story about some regional NSW tourism operators being wary of accepting metropolitan guests.
That said, we still hope to stage a family get together at Coffs Harbour for a week in September. NSW Premier Gladys says we're welcome.
Maybe interstate travellers could be required to have the Covid test and be negative before going interstate. I'd be happy to do that.

The big bitch seems to be coming from the cornstalks/cockroaches wanting to go into Qld not the other way. You know we generally don't care about NSW nor really have grand desires to go there. We have our own quaint little towns like Nimbin and better spots than Byron Bay.

Stay south, control your covid19 , enjoy your daylight saving , go west for your cheap retirement housing which your state can't give you....leave us alone.

We went down to Arrawarra last weekend, for 'work'.

Going south is no worries, coming back, the police check there is the big A sticker(pass) on the left of the windscreen and they wave the vehicle through. No paperwork, and there is a place, with police and a van, to stop for a please explain. If you have a QLd license,Qld plates, and are a resident of Qld,the rumours are you will probably be OK.As long as you haven't been to any 'Covid hotspots',wherever they are.

The paperwork is per person,so if there is two of you, generally two passes are needed, but only one is stuck on the screen.
    Vehicle rego is irrevalent.

As time goes on I reckon this Border crap is going have to be mandated by The Commonwealth Gubmint & not State premiers. Forget all the "differences" ,we do all live in the one country like it or not. Some states appear to focus on Monetary reasons. I read the other day somewhere, that Victoria stands to reap millions of $ in fines assuming that is all legal when the so called laws were passed. It still has to tested in a court of law yet.

I don't give a flying **** if one state's conditions don't suit another let the C of A make the rules. This infighting **** is bloody ridiculous. Let us all "sing from the same hymn book or get aboard the same Tram or train" it doesn't matter at the end of the day FFS. This is all due to Oz being a Federation.

Meantime, we will be self-isolating & spacing as we have been doing for months 'cos that is what we are content with or this Covid **** could just go on forever if every "Free Thinker" believes it wasn't meant for them. Well I have got ****ing news for you. It ****ing was, OK?

    Grouchy outburst finished.

Parochial is part of our DNA, for obvious reasons.
Or I've heard it described as Queenslanders are quite balanced Ian.

I wonder how much of the apparent NSW/Qld aggro stems from the State of Origin? In all seriousness, I identify as Australian, not Victorian.

And your well considered reasons for opening the borders are? I'm sure you would have the ear of the S.A. Premier , Steven Marshall.

On Thursday, SA Premier Steven Marshall said closed borders meant his state could move faster on reopening its economy.“If we open up all the borders, we can really only move as fast as the slowest jurisdiction,” he said.“On balance, we’ve formed the opinion that it’s more important for us to get people back to work in South Australia.“Therefore we’ve made the decision to keep our borders closed and go ahead with lifting restrictions and creating work.”South Australia has no active COVID-19 cases, and has had only one case in the past month
