I think that is the point Paul, This time they have to stay away & stay at home for their holiday.
I think there is much more at stake here than getting a tan & getting the Rides & buying Fairy Floss. If they can't see that without prompting, then they join the other selfish inconsiderate bastards that are quite happy to spread it around en masse.
Disappointing? Yep, but they might be here this time next year to get their somewhat delayed vacations, or dead.
Not a lot of choice is there?
Would you care to elaborate on that statement?i'll say ive had lots of close contact with clive,
The chances are that there could be more at stake than Run of the Mill Corona.

SubscriberWell, maybe in the case of Victoria it's because they've tested 160,000 people in the last couple of weeks and want to do 310,000 by the end of May - just because a State isn't reporting new cases doesn't necessarily mean that it's not there, just that it's not being picked up: that's the mistake that they made in the US.

Regardless of that VIC still has new cases pretty much every day and the risk of interstate travellers from VIC and NSW spreading this virus by travelling interstate is unacceptable to the states that have locked their borders.
FFS just stay at home until this virus is "Sorted" the other states don't want visitors at this stage .

What, from Pauline Hanson the ultimate political opportunist? Good luck with that.
the High Court has accepted that a state law may impede the entry into the state of persons, animals or goods that are likely to injure its citizens. These include risks of the transmission of animal and plant diseases and the entry of noxious drugs.
Current proposals to restrict the movement of people across state borders are clearly for the legitimate purpose of protecting public health. No one could argue that the reason is “protectionist” or simply an objection to residents from other states entering the state.
But in any case, the High Court would take into account the evidence that the state was relying on and its efforts to calibrate the restrictions appropriately in the circumstances. More extreme risks may justify more extreme measures in limiting interstate intercourse.

Super ModeratorCovid19 has done a splendid job on us. In a couple of weeks I get to move mself and 5 other family from my nice safe little personal iso-island in WA to community transmission central in VIC. At least we don't have to quarantine going in. Hopefully by the time we head back things have settled down.
Anyone know how to get a D3 from Perth to Melb without driving it through the NT or SA?
