WA was putting all the WA arrivals on Rottnest Island and the rest of the Oz passengers into hotels in and around Perth for 14 days before being allowed to continue interstate & home .

They also Now have to pay for their own accommodation so that should slow them down anyway
IF people have left Australia to travel overseas since this virus hit us they shouldn't be allowed back anyway, Why should everyone else have to suffer because of people travelling for pleasure in these times.

Apparently a lot of them are returning from Indonesia , not sure if they were holidaying in Bali or not or expats returning back to Oz .

WA was also paying for accommodation for all inbound quarantiners, both WA residents and those from other states that quarantined in WA before heading home. NSW for instance sends WA the bill for WA residents that quarantine in NSW before heading home to WA..... Not a level playing field is it.....

The bulk atm are flying in from India and Pakistan.
There were special charter flights evacuating Australian resident Indians out of India which have been curtailed with the overnight restrictions of inbound passengers.

Victorian border to shut wednesday. EDIT. The border will be policed from the NSW side, permits will be needed to cross. Waiting patiently for the usual suspects to raise a hue and cry about the border shutting.

It was averaging over 1000/day through Sydney.
NSW and Vic were copping the brunt of returnees.
