Plenty of hope up here, a lovely sunny day, lots of smiling people. And we want to keep it that way, thank you.

The only problem i see now is that social distancing seems to have gone out the window as things eased & if this is not hounded into the Goombahs heads who think it does not matter anymore then we may end up like Vic , after all the hard work done then that would be would be a real **** off .

    Stay safe over there .

Also the Military guys on the check points did a great job as it would have been impossible to man 13 check points all over the state with out them .
At the beginning of the Qld border closure, grey Nomads were reported as crossing the NSW/ Qld border out west, at Hungerford. There were just not enough Police to monitor all the crossings out west, so 800 soldiers were tasked with backing them up. I think it was 800 soldiers and six police, but I could be wrong. All went well, not a peep from the media about any concerns. The ADF has been peacekeeping all over the World. Since 1945, I doubt there has been a year gone by where there hasn't been an Australian team peace keeping somewhere. This would not be an easy job, because those Grey Nomads are as cunning as dockyard cats.

The grey nomads, except from Victoria, will be officially welcome in Qld from midday on Friday, if they get their online passes first from the Qld Entry Pass site, which is working well.
I see the NSW entry pass site went online at 7.30pm, but crashed at 8.15pm after receiving 44,000 applications.
Just saw a NSW pass being held up on TV and it looks very similar to the Qld pass, except with a big 'C', while Qld passes currently have a 'G'.
NT is locking out Victorians indefinitely.

Do we class them as refugees?

Don’t forget about the SES, those guys and girls also manned the checkpoints

The cops were just there for show
A bit of a holiday from traffic duty

Every time I went through it was the ADF and the SES doing all the work, the coppers were sitting on there arse munching on donuts and drinking coffee

One officer did get off his arse and have a go at me about my number plates being faded, twice.
On the second occasion I showed him the receipt for the new replacement plates on order and he didn’t even have a look just give his smart arse comment and walked away

Yep the SES were there forgot about them Dudes , most times it was the coppers lined up at the IOD Checkpoint near Yanchep , one time going home from Perth an old Pome Sergeant grabbed hold of my license out of my hand with his not to clean looking rubber glove while not maintaining social distancing , when he went to give it back i said what do do with that now ?? he said take it and on your way , i replied just throw it on the floor i will disinfect it when i get home , some were great and others sounded like they had nails for breakfast .

Gotta feel sorry for Victorians. No-one should bag them as it could happen anywhere. Friends of ours at Melton are locked down for the second time and not supposed to visit their daughter, who has health issues.
This will kill some businesses who survived the first lockdown, hired staff to get going again, now have to shut and can't get JobKeeper for them because the new staff have not been employed for a year, so how do they pay them without revenue? Very tough.
JobKeeper should be provided by the federal government for people living in hotspot postcodes, I think.
Dan Andrews has my respect for his handling of this situation. I like the way he says he is responsible and the buck stops with him. Not trying to avoid responsibility. Just stands up and takes it on the chin. Same goes for the other Premiers - they have all stepped up.

Of course it is if they or a member of the public are threatened.. I don't mean the, "I know where you live Copper", stuff.

In the situation of Joe Bloggs pointing a 12g at you & the cop saying "Drop the weapon" & the miscreant doesn't & points said 12g at your head & was about to pull the trigger as was the cop, I bet you would think twice about the "All Lives matter" crap. Assuming you didn't have other things on your mind like ****ting you breeks of course.

Eevo loudly, "For ****s sake shoot the bastard, Constable".

I do hope you are never in that situation but you get me drift, but whether you agree or not I don't give a ****..
