This is hard to believe as well. The new rules for pubs, not applying to all.

The changes, which are believed to have been decided during a meeting of senior government ministers on Monday night – will not apply to clubs, restaurants, or The Star casino, the paper reported.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Maybe because restaraunts must have a booking for diners which is traceable, Clubs must have either a sign in or a membership badge. Not sure about the casino, i've never been there but I would assume that some form of ID and registration would be necessary. Pubs would seem to have been pretty slack with taking ID's probably not a bad idea to restrict them again anyway. It looks like the pub outbreak may have been caused by a truck driver who would have been exempt from the border closures. Yes, they querying a Syd-Melb truck driver.

I just wish more people would voluntarily get tested, so more positives were found and isolated. That's how to suppress it.

    Hi,
Went for a walk yesterday, coming back via Margate Train noticed the pancake carriage was chockers. Way too little distancing for me, pity, a pancake would have gone down well.
    Cheers

The maximum penalty is currently $4,003, but Mr Miles said it was not enough of a deterrent to stop people making false declarations.

What fool in NSW has set a fine of $4003-00 Maybe it is GST on the fine? Three bloody Dollars FFS!

    Laughable really.

WHO warns coronavirus crisis may get worse, as Australian on edge

There are concerns infections could soar, with NSW Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant on Monday revealing other venues across Sydney may have been exposed to the virus between June 27 and July 10 after visits from people linked to the pub outbreak.

These include Picton Hotel, Planet Fitness gym in Casula, Canterbury Leagues Club, Narellan Town Centre and Zone Bowling in Villawood.
Under the new rules, pubs will have to start taking down contact details of patrons and they will not be allowed to have more than 300 people inside their venue irrespective of its size, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

    EDIT.
Victorian officials have also raised the alarm after two cases in that state were found to have visited NSW venues earlier this month.
NSW Health said those infected people visited:

    • Murray Downs golf club, on July 4 and 5
    • Cook @ Kurnell on July 5, for lunch
    • Highfield, Caringbah on July 5 for dinner
    • Merimbula RSL on July 6, for dinner
    • The Waterfront Café Merimbula on July 7, for breakfast.
No, names have been officially requested since opening back up.
I've had to write down my name and number every time I've entered a cafe, restaurant, pub........

With the amount of people dodging or bending the rules as far as border crossings go I doubt that QLD is out of the woods with this COV19 problem yet.
Maybe QLD should have kept its borders closed instead of opening it up simply for the tourist dollars like WA has kept theirs closed and in fact tightened the borders up recently, Time will tell.
In view of the massive outbreaks in VIC I feel that it is an act of sheer lunacy for QLD to open shop up for tourism at this time .
