What everyone seems to be missing is how bloody virulent this virus is.
It appears just one security guard is responsible for what's happened in Melbourne and now NSW.
    It was all but eliminated.

It's back here on the north coast now as a couple went to Sydney to a funeral and brought it back with them.
Hopefully it's been isolated to Byron, there hasn't been active cases here for months.....

[Edit] except the person who flew into Ballina from Melbourne a few weeks ago.
They ended up in Lismore Base hospital

I see a video of a woman vociferously arguing with cops and Bunnings staff about her right to not wear a mask. The reality is that she most likely went to Bunnings to provoke a confrontation which is why she was videoing it
That particular toerag also did the same at a post office and has since been arrested

We aren't out of trouble yet.

Travelers to NZ will be our undoing yet.

We had a family (mum and four kids) travel from Brisbane to Auckland so the kids could attend their fathers funeral after dying suddenly. The family was not granted an exemption to leave isolation in Hamilton early even after a test turned negative so they absconded isolation. Four were caught early on in the evening with the fifth making to Auckland to see his dad before the casket was closed. Turns out one of them visited a nearby aged care facilitiy to use a phone to call a cab.

In another news item, turns out a NZer who left NZ to travel to Sth Korea tested positive after arriving in Korea. This is just hitting the media now and little is actually known. Korean health people think maybe the NZer was infected in Singapore on stop-pver but NZ health authorities are investigating and cannot rule out the person was infectious before leaving NZ. That'd be a bad thing.

That was not the one that was in the news yesterday - was in a nursing home with all family hugging and kissing and a huge cake - no social distancing at all.

Add in a close up of a sneeze and its dangerous

Do not watch while eating or drinking

The numbers in Vic a almost stable. The weekly doubling of the daily counts seems to have leveled off Still rampant in several nursing homes saddly. NSW is seemingly following our poor trajectory over the last few weeks of re-escalation.

I'd query the COVID numbers in the light of what the UK and US governments have been discovered doing... fudging the figures. Blatantly.

    For a blunt commentary:-

The gravedigger’s truth: Hidden coronavirus deaths

Fewer than 100 people have died of Covid-19 in Somalia, according to official figures.

But BBC Africa Eye has found that cemeteries are filling up fast in the country, whose healthcare system has been devastated by three decades of conflict.

It's been looking into the reality of coronavirus in Somalia, following two young doctors in the fight of their lives.

A excess mortality study showing deaths above normal or expected death rate, is probably a lot better than some media.
