From his interview:
"In Melbourne's case, of course, it was - how shall I say it without being too critical? - pretty slack oversight and supervision, where it was put in the hands of private industry, which was a disaster. In our case, we got the army in early enough to know that that wouldn't have been the problem. But there's been a breach, and we'll find out in a matter of hours, or within a day."
Right ... I'd hate to see what him being critical would look like.
It's interesting - I've had a tangential involvement in diplomatic circles and that's the sort of criticism of other countries that people do try to avoid, so it's odd to hear it coming from a deputy PM [Edit: who's also the NZ Foreign Minister]. It's also more than a little gloating, which is .... odd .... given that the reason for the interview is that his purportedly superior arrangements have apparently also failed.

Tough times. How would you phrase it? Bearing in mind it appears to be the truth & many have died how would you put it in fancy words & why should you/ he? Maybe a bit of harsh criticism might wake a few in charge souls up. ie. give them a jolt. From his interview:

I reckon the much vaunted, now crap of.... "Those are in our thoughts & Prayers" stuff is wearing a bit thin & sounding shallow & mass produced rubbish.
