I suggest everyone take a couple of deep breaths & calm down a bit for the good of this Forum.

I foresaw this nastiness creeping in a couple of months ago & said so, but it seems it is out of the bag again.

It will be alright on the day. I say so.

Thanks but I cannot disagree with that statement 'cos I wasn't even a glint in my old man's eye. You may be right, I dunno.

The challengers are trying to claim the border controls are based on reasons other than public health.

On grumpy Love the extra ten days for the VIPs who refuse to be tested. Suspect a few litigious types will take a big stick to the VIPs that spread COVID by just being a VIP

"The Government has announced contacts of known COVID-19 cases in Victoria must now be tested before leaving quarantine or else face another 10 days in isolation. Those identified as close contacts are already required to quarantine for a fortnight, but new rules will give the state the power to keep them for a further 10 days if they refuse a test on the 11th day.
Health Minister Martin Foley said the end of the extra 10-day period was when health authorities could be "absolutely sure" the incubation period of the virus had passed.
He said it was "a very, very small number of people" who had so far refused testing while in quarantine.
But he said while the state dealt with the "stubborn tail of the second wave", health teams needed to be given the tools to "drive this infection rate away""

Had a lovely heated argument with a woman today who decided her “right to sit in the shade” overrides social distancing.

Told her in no uncertain terms to **** off. That kicked her off, whilst hubby cowered off to one side shaking his head.

Probably in disbelief Mike, as he probably has witnessed it all previously. I do hope you hit her with your big shovel.

You reckon? Not to me they aren't, James.

It is common sense & not summat I am accused of using very often but if this place gets placed in "Lockdown" you may Recall that I mentioned this. Then again you might not give a ****.

Speaking of Lockdowns.... Always useful to know what is going on elsewhere, as they've had longer time 'with' covid to try out various strategies, and - hopefully - discard the ones that don't help.

Coronavirs UK: Britain's envoy to WHO tells government to stop locking-down | Daily Mail Online

LOTS of interesting tidbits in that link, like two scientists who found life just too difficult. Sadly.

And, another good reason to re-think mask-wearing edicts.... PPE on our beaches... as one team in Cornwall picks up 650 plastic gloves and 250 face masks | Daily Mail Online

Sourcing them is hard enough, where do we SAFELY dispose of these thingd, saturated with the DEADLY virus. ?
