    My Back Yard- neighborly

We are sending some Vax to P.N.G.. US is to Canada and Mexico. Everyone one seems to be mostly helping their neighbors. Looking after your own is important of course

Very glad we have C.S.L. making about a million per week here shortly. The Me politics/need is a little clear worldwide or at a local level with some people insisting ME first.

Jim's understandable thoughts on our Ex Pm getting a jab makes me wonder. Do I get the jab with my medial crew or allow some one else to have it? I really require about 1000 per week. I am getting 50 per week. This means there is no way we can supply demand for the thousands of eligible people until supplies increase. 2nd minor issue will be as supplies ramp up the 2nd dose 12 weeks after the first requires stocks held for those we give it to first.

Do practice managers take a jab with our medical crew or allow someone else to have it? I really require about 1000 per week. I am getting 50 per week. Assuming 22 million odd people get a vaccine, 44 million required. My own 6000+ odd people is a mere 12000. When we get to start, we then get to SLOW DOWN. First is the supply of vaccines (Unknown volumes I am allowed) 2nd is as we do the 2nd vaccine, we are likely to half our capacity for vaccination of new people. I have 3ish months to contemplate that while rolling in the 4000ish flu vaccinations we do every year somewhere.

A little worried about my bank balances/overdraft as this will be reduced as work as usual is substantially reduced and costs mounting up and increasing. No stress we will do it.

I can hope I may get one break. All phase 1B GP practices are and must accredited with the RULZ. I what to asking to defer the assessment which is scheduled for this year. I can think of a few minor issues causing a little problem with the paperwork and preparation for that. I wonder if a reasonable response is likely. Who I ask is one question?
I need to spend some time on this We have so much spare time.

    Corona Virus

I know your pain, Navy Diver.
Having worked in general practice for many decades, I can’t recall many, if any, days there weren’t busy with full appointment books.
It’s going to be challenging for practices to manage the addition of many thousand of appointments for these COVID vaccinations to already full schedules. And each vaccine recipient will have to loiter around the practice for 30 minutes afterwards in full practices.
Many GP’s around the country simply won’t have the logistics to be able to provide the service.
But then, it’s not going to be that hard if they only receive 50 vaccines a week, but it will take a long time to get the job done.
I’m just happy that I’m now retired and enjoying grandkids, golfing and fishing. I won’t get bored waiting for my shots.

"I need to spend some time on this We have so much spare time."

I don't know if it corona related or not but so far this year our lives have been so busy and everyone is really angsty and stressed. I've had a few issues recently at work where we are being pushed far beyond the capacity we have, to the detriment of business as usual tasks, although this could be just coincidental, I've had a few interactions across other businesses over the last couple of months and they seem equally stressed and overworked. SWMBO s a teacher and her school is no better with the wheels falling off and lots of staff taking leave due to the stress which makes it worse for those still working. Her managers are backed into a corner and are saying stuff like "suck it up, teachers should be able to cope with 40 kids when classes are collapsed".

Like I said, I'm not sure if its coronavirus related but its bloody unpleasant

    Regards,

Same in many industries. Here there’s work for 10 and a team of 6. My guys are pretty highly strung at the moment.

I reward them where I can.

Apologies for pic quality. A screenshot originating from CBSNews - America. (See logo on lower RH side.) Social Media can be useful as a reference to links when quoted.

I could take EVERYTHING 'Informational' printed about covid/WuhanFlu in our local morning AND weekend papers...over the last 12 months.. and fit it into the average size AULRO post.

In many industries that is just cost cutting, to increase profit, to appease shareholders, so CEO's get bigger bonuses. Cynical?? Absolutely!!

As I’ve said to a few mates.

“My salary looks great, however some weeks the hourly rate is pretty poor.”

We like to look back at origins... thes story of how the LR came into being, history of the TD-5, etc etc.
Well, here's some background of the current fun & games. How the Test came into being, and WHO is behind it all...
