Why do you think we are not being told the truth?
Cheers
I don't wish to post any thing that can be regarded as controversial, but this just about tells it all.
Our PM has said he has " secured " more of the pfiser vaccine, secured does not mean delivered. And we do not know when the new lot will arrive. It's been all spin and smoke and mirrors , with States being blamed for ruining the economy with the shutdowns, when in reality it was the shutdowns that saved us from being another Italy, or even America. Our economy seems ok [ thanks to iron ore prices, more than anything else.] Last month , our health Minister proclaimed a " momentous day " when the program to vaccinate over 70's was announced, " the largest logistical exercise ever undertaken in this country" he said. Everything is going great guns, we were told. I went to the vaccination place to make an appointment, about a week after that announcement. They told me that they couldn't make any appointments, because they were only getting 10 bottles of vaccine at a time, at random intervals, and were not told when , so it was put your name on the list and wait for our call. that was three weeks ago. Then when it became clear there was a problem, the gov. blamed the States. Then they blamed the EU, it's just as well Ned Kelly isn't alive or they would blame him, I reckon. Our aged care residents and workers , a federal responsibility, still have not been fully vaccinated. There's more, but I've said enough.
I will post in CA an article by Paul Bongiorno which expands on my comments, in the Vaccination rollout thread.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food
A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
Well, this must be the season for revelations, but I'm sorry to say Old Ned has been painted as no more than a thief and a murderer in a book I was given, called BLACK SNAKE, the real story of Ned Kelly. Written by Leo Kennedy, the great grand son of Sgt Michael Kennedy, slain at stringy bark creek [ but he would say that wouldn't he?]

He did more than duff a copper up. But it could have also been Joe Byrne or the other miscreant's bullet that done for him.
But you cannot deny he would have been in more strife for those crimes hence the saying "In more strife than Ned Kelly"
Today of course, there are bigger crooks in Oz than what poor maligned Ned lad could ever have striven to/for in those far off days (ATO for instance) but I like the saying as Historical Oz. Plus, it runs off the tongue quite easily.
Nowadays he would probably be PM.He was more than qualified for the modern job. I have a coffee table style book called Ned Kelly, the authentic illustrated story. Written by Keith MccMenomy , introduced by Manning Clark. Warts and all , not a romantic fairy tale. It tells just how tough times were back then, and how we in this time can not really judge either Kelly, or the Police. I like the saying " as game as Ned Kelly " , no matter how factual it may be.

As an aside.
Whilst looking at Ned's photograph on Google he reminded me of a bloke sitting at, & get this for a coincidence, also a Coffee table, in some Caff with a vertically challenged Truck driver friend while his companion hurriedly scans the Racing Results.
I digress a tad, it is the same black beard you see. Maybe it is a reincarnation of Ned. Yes amazing isn't it, but who can say in this current topsy turvy world at the moment?
Take him Down.
