I'm not sure if reading the statistics properly but it looks like international airline arrivals and departures of non citizens have more travel freedom than our own citizens inside Australia.

There’s an online vax rollout thing I was looking at last week and when I clicked on ‘Australia’ it said estimated time until 70% vax reached was 2025 based on the numbers we were doing then so it’s improved significantly. Corona Virus

“The good news I have for Australians who are subject to restrictions today is we have agreed a new deal for Australians on the pathway out of Covid-19,” Mr Morrison said.

“A pathway from a pre-vaccination period which is focused on the suppression of the virus, on community transmission cases, to one that sees us manage Covid-19 as an infectious disease like any other in our community.”

Mr Morrison said state and territory leaders had agreed to a four-phase plan tied to vaccination thresholds for over-16s:

    - Reaching a certain vaccination threshold after offering all Australians the chance to get the vaccine
    - Post-vaccination phase where focus shifts from suppressing the virus to minimising serious illness and death
    - Consolidation phase where health authorities manage Covid-19 similar to other infectious diseases like the flu
    - Complete return to normal with no lockdowns or border closures, and quarantine only for unvaccinated travellers

“The first phase is the one we are in – vaccinate, prepare and pilot,” he said.

Meanwhile, the federal government has agreed to state leaders’ demands for a 50 per cent reduction in international arrivals “to reduce the pressure on quarantine facilities, due to the increased risks of the Delta strain of the virus”.

Get them on the shelves & lets see them & then you can start to sound organised.

All the above should have been planned months ago not when the brown stuff hits the spinny thing.

What a bloody shower this has turned out to be.

If she is an employee of Qld health, she should have been on a priority list. Her boss should have sorted it.

September! Jesus wept. Qld Health or not, staff in that position all over Australia should have been at, or very near the top of the Priority List. They certainly would be in my world. But then, I am a Virgo.

Who will take care of the Carers if they go down with this thing? They should have been one of the first to be Vax'd.

Certainly not the Actors, Celebrities, Politicians & ex Labor Prime Ministers & other self appointed important personalities who have already had their Phizers when no one else could.

Nah not them, they'll be too busy making millions/squillions from their "Blockbusters in SEQ & then buggering off at the end of it..

I agree, but what happened was it was declared all those that came into contact with covid patients were declared 1A and were to be vaccinated. The young girl was a concierge, and not meant to be in contact with covid patients. It was unfortunate she had her desk just outside the covid ward when the delta variant came to town. That's ok. But it's sloppy management to allow an unvaccinated worker any where near the covid ward. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Now, the QLD government is asking all 5 covid hospitals to consider vaccinating all workers in their hospital. Do they have enough vaccines? probably not.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

All these celebrities, pollies et al, in particular the big cheese PM should have said "it is not my turn, get the vulnerable and front line done first, I will wait". Just like the rest of us have had to. The PM (no matter which party is in government, just to make this non-political) isn't that important. He's like a mafia/crime boss, there is always someone waiting in the wings ready to fill his shoes, should anything happen to him/her.

And why didn't the PM do his 14 days quarantine in some roach infested hotel with crap food and ****ty internet like everyone else??? No one else is allowed to quarantine at home!!

    Ok, except high wealth individuals.
    And celebrities.
    And other Politicians.
And those who have influence over political parties.

Geez, what hope is there for Joe Public.
