Firstly you breath out of your nose too. But primarily, Masks are worn to prevent inhalation of the virus in the air, through both your nose and mouth.
That little voice in your head that says, I can’t breath properly through this mask, is ignoring the fact that the filtration provided by the mask is what it’s all about. That’s the point.
Just put your mask over your nose and mouth! As they are designed to do.
….and if you have bad breath use some mouthwash!![]()

I'll probably just believe the experts on this one if that's ok?...

There are about 100 others from international studies too that say similar things - primarily mask wearing stops the virus from becoming airborne when someone with it breaths out through droplets and the recent results back from Victoria on how effective this is in preventing the spread backs this up.
Would love to see your sources of info showing the opposite - links please.

Once the virus is airborne it can pass easily through a mask as the virus is so small, its about stopping it getting into the air in the first place. The Hotel quarantine issues show this - when air escapes an infected persons room, others pick it up easily - even though they are wearing masks.
You should probably start reading up on information on this from sources other than Facebook or Reddit...![]()

What masks are the majority of people you are referring to wearing?
This below?
Or something like this below? Rated as P2 or N95?

Do you work in an industrial setting where respiration protection is required by law? Protection of the wearer from inhaled stuff requires specifically rated masks. Surgical masks would not be worn on an industrial site where respiration protection is required. Why the heck do people think surgical masks provide protection from inhaled stuff?

Keep Strong NSW- Us Mexicans have again shown it is possible IF you stick to it with a proper lock down. Getting the wild ones confined for just 14 ish days is required. Most people are reasonable and understand its not just about ME. Lock down is not party time

According to information I received this morning, police have the identity of over 100 people from the Central West who went to the rally in Sydney on Saturday. Presumably mostly from the locked down Orange/Cabonne/Blayney areas, so hopefully not any from round here!
