The rule in our car is, when bikes are on the roof, is it's everybody's responsibility to yell at the driver if they think there's the slightest chance of hitting something.

A friend describes tying kayaks to the roof as like strapping down frozen bananas 😁

They should have strap from the back and the front as they are slippery suckers haha.

Dad wants to do a camping kayak Coorong trip.
I have outriggers for it too for stability as a paraplegic. There's room to strap mu wheelchair to it too should I need

Haha well in a plot twist, my pdf is actually a light turquoise colour I couldn't find purple and then this one was comfortable and fit well and didn't affect mobility when wheeling
I love the Coorong and have wanted to take disco there for a long time. Been a very long while since I have been. To have the kayak now opens up water for me again. Which whilst I will nose the wheelchair in water, it will kill the bearings really fast if sea water, but I can't go far. I'm really looking forward to the kayak to be able to enjoy water again in a way that doesn't break my wheelchair

Is the Salinity really high, bearing in mind fresh water enters the system to the East & you'd be beyond the Barrage?

Certainly not Ian, when one reads the Salinty in parts of the Coorong are much higher than Sea Water due to Dry Land Salinity upstream.



Who'd have thought that would be the case?? In summer Adelaide-ians can drink that water pumped from Manumm. via the Mannum to Adelaide pipeline. But maybe not these days so much as the Southern burbs have a WhizBANG Desal Plant on the site of the old PRA Refinery. How much? Don't even ask. Ditto for it's operating Costs.
