Late night rowdies regularly put Condy's Crystals and detergent in the King George Square fountains in Brisbane.

    Hi,
As a kid at my first job we had an elderly technician, Harry, who had some bladder problems.
With a straw, some Condy's crystals were gently placed in the bottom of the toilet bowl.
Poor old Harry came out after a short visit looking very pale and said he had to get to the doctor really quick.
    Probably not PC these days.
    Cheers

    Aspley fountain was also popular.

It used to be on Gympie Rd, either on the intersection with, or slightly north of Robinson Rd.. It disappeared in a redevelopment, probably when Golden Arches arrived.

Aah, right. Now known as the 'Aspley Fountain Shopping Centre".

I still can't recall the fountain, though.

Neither can I. I recall a caravan park there in the 60's before the shops development.

The caravan park is still there AFAIK, further north, just south of Zupps and Zillmere Road.
