The Rail Line, which is still in regular use for grain trains, still runs down the middle of the main Street in Wycheproof,...the mains st, "Broadway" forms part of the Calder Highway. The driver of the train has been known to stop the train when reaching a point near the milk bar, grab himself something to eat, and then trundle off again. Strictly against the rules, but it still happens!

Maybe IF you had been travelling slower 80 to 90kph you wouldn't have had too much drama pulling up with 3T of boat hanging off the back.

True but with 800km to go its a little longer to go slow.

A lot of Brisbane tramlines were torn up and sold for scrap and there is still some buried under several layers of road.

Those big US freight trains that run down the middle of the road blow "Q" in Morse on their air horns at crossings and intersections. "Q" being the International signal for "I have right of way". As if anyone was going to challenge a 90 wagon double deck container train for right of way.

Just not challenge Brian, who the hell would recognise Q --.- even if they heard it or even knew what it was saying & why?
