Tragic indeed. Road trauma always is, regardless of those involved.

Is it at all possible that we can refrain from apportioning blame for this until the facts are know?

Facts are known - police commissioner just advised what happened. For whatever reason a truck cleans up a car parked on the side of the road (after being pulled over) and the four attending police are killed.

I think what John means (Correct me if I'm wrong mate) is that let's not hang the truck driver just yet - we don't know why he crashed - people will make assumptions about this but we should wait until the Police finish their investigation on the why and report it.

Edit - reports this morning say the truck driver has a medical episode.

One of the reports said it was believed the truck driver 'had an episode' - not sure what that means yet (heart attack?) as he's in hospital and not well enough to be interviewed. The driver of the Porsche stopped for speeding ran away.
    Tragic.
